I'm waiting for the Q5 and seeing that the Q0 seems to be on track for the early June release I'm getting excited for the q5's June release! Hopefully it won't get delayed but one can only hope
depending on the price, these could be a solid option. Not too many high quality built num pads on the market to be paired with non full sized boards. Like most of these new boards, with a little modding these will probably sound and feel amazing.
This is an interesting video that should be linked somewhere in the Q0 page when it launches, since it's unlisted and won't be found by potentially interested people @KeychronKeyboard BEWARE the chapter names you've set are all "Gateron G Pro Red" even for the brown and blue switches. It's confusing as it is, but once corrected it will be great for people wanting to study a sound with multiple rewatch of the wanted switch 👍
@@sorrytodisappoint bahhahaha sameeee Like alot of people, i took a motospeed numpad and modded it. Thought ive been really itching to have an all aluminium keyboard set. And by the looks of things its coming soon
I have been looking for a decent deal on an aluminum case numpad with hot-swap switches. I was about to spend well over $100 USD for a GK21s Numpad kit and buy keycaps separate. I was able to grab a fully assembled Q0 for less than the GK21s Numpad without switches or keycaps. There was no stock for the switches I wanted with the color I chose. I can use the switches of my choice when it arrives. A high-quality aluminum case, hot swappable numpad is hard to find at a decent price. Keychron knocked it out of park with this one. Now I can finally have a numpad that comes close to matching the quality of my keyboard. I'm very glad I found this before I bought the GK21s Numpad kit. The Q0 is completely customizable using VIA or QMK and even has RGB (if you are into that). These will probably be on Amazon in a few weeks or months.
I love that GMK&VIA supports Keychorn keyboards, but is it possible to create macros, save them to the keyboard, and then use that feature on another computer without the software?
I do not know why he pushed multiple number keys at the same time. It never happens, isn't it?! It does not make sense to do it for us listening to the sound.
This is really going to depend on price for it. Really didn't sound great at all. Not like their counterpart keyboards, that's for sure. Will these be hotswap capable, so that we could help the sound?
Yea it's customisable, it's a good base. We can do the rest. Price says "The barebone version will be 69$ for early bird. The fully assembled version will be 79$ for early bird."
I don’t get why people mash blue keys to the bottom (it’s usually even quite a bit worse in other videos than here though). It is fair enough for reds. In that case the bottoming out sound is what people come to these sound tests for, obviously. But when it comes to tactile and clicky switches, isn’t the whole point to reduce bottoming out by getting feedback from which to adjust typing force?
why does this sound so different from the k8pro... where is the thock? I am too new to the keyboard space to understand why can't you just make a k8pro sounding numpad... can someone explain it to me?
Different materials react and reverberate at different frequentcies. Platics will naturally sound different from metal when sound bounces off those different surfaces. There's also different methods of sound isolation with materials and mounting options that affect sound.
