The outside lock on handle is to keep it from getting caught in the air stream as you drive down the road.

We installed one on our trailer. Took a bit to program it though (probably user error). It seems pretty sturdy and I like it has a real key not the little crappy kind that came with the trailer.

Love your videos. I'm curious about the key itself (in the FOB), I wonder if there are only a few variations of it? BTW, the handle lock is made for when traveling, so the wind doesn't snag the handle and possibly open the door

Key fob radio signals are easy to hack, so the key fob lock out switch is great for when you are home and going to sleep.

When the keyfob mode is unlocked the lock is always searching for the keyfob signal which drains the battery faster so you have the option to shut it off to save battery life if you choose not to use the fob or just want to save battery life while you're at the camper

I saw an Amazon review on this door lock that the door wouldn’t stay locked during transit. It would jiggle open. Have you heard of such a problem?

Purchased one for our camper and are having issues with it! It’s coming unlocked and the door is coming open it’s happened almost 4 times already.
