While playing key master at my local mall, a friend and I noticed that the one we were playing on would move up a quarter inch after you hit stop.

that's because of the required pay-out. basically there needs to be a minimum amount of money spent before it actually gives you that prize. if the minimum amount of money isn't reached, it moves up to prevent you from winning the prize

I know it’s been a long time but I have a few tips 1. If you frequent a arcade or a place that has one of these and you see the same item(s) then try a bit chances are it’s close to its pay out time 2. If the key hits the top by the tiniest bit then that means it hasn’t run out it’s payout time yet If you don’t know what I’m talking about a operate can decide how often it wants to pay out like if they puts in a iPad then maybe 1500 bucks have to be spent in that spot for it to be available.

Drew Helander heres what i dont get . does the machine screw you over by pushing the key up a bit higher ? cause im thinking what if your pin point accurate and the payout time isnt ready is it still possible to get the prize?

Great to see the "it's ready" state up close, but on its own that doesn't tell me much. What does it do when it's not ready? A comparison of the two would be really helpful.

The machines I see down the shore, there is a tiny notch in the upper edge where the key would have to go through so your left-right alignment is more important than your up/down on those machines. The notch is narrower on the higher price items. Also you have less time to aim since time spent elevating the key to the top.

No Offence, but technically this is in theory. Because, prize machines like Keymaster and Stacker, are rigged to make you lose till the amount of credits inserted in the machine, hits he machine operator’s set value. A prime example is, I occasionally go on an Asian cruise ship that recently added Keymaster machines to the casinos. So far for months, there were only 1-2 winners of S$500 and that’s for the bottom row. The other top rows consist of S$1000 and S$1500 and there were no winners so far. Of course, it depends on what prize you’re trying to get from Keymaster, with the expensive stuff like iPads being more “harder” to get.
