Very revealing discourse about the courage and erudition of the Emir and his candid views on the problems in Northern Nigerian society. Discourse on the issues he raises is just beginning as he alluded. It should be pointed out however, that this type of presentation should be made right here in Nigeria with other Emirs in attendance. There is an air of fear in bringing up these matters openly in the north but the efforts of the Emir of Kano are a courageous attempt towards a much needed reformation and change. Thank you Sir

I love listening to u because I learn a lot and a lot. but why do we talk talk talk as if someone or some people somewhere told us never to do the right thing ? why do our top players in the society and in Government do a lot of good talk and find it hard to implement their good heart desires ? why is this devilish thing around us and all we do is talk about it ? who is the powers that be ? who is seating on our existence? how come we all with able consciousness not implement the good things..... ? u are an emir! u have the good heart ..... yet, the evils are still on ! Ve always loved n admired dis gr8 Emir of Kano since his days as Minister or Gov of finance in 9ja Central Bank. He's so passionate n patriotic Nigerian if we ve more of him in govt speaking out d truth n doing d needful irrespective of ethnicity, states or religion 9ja ll b semi or 2nd to none. Tho ve had a lil disagreement wit some of his utterances but I still think he's a genuinely human, after all we can't always b 100% correct all d tym n most of d tym only our Almighty Father God can b absolutely, completely, totally good n accurate all d tym cos He created us n d universe & sure knos us in & out. Human Capital is what is preventing Nigeria from moving from the primary sector to the secondary (manufacturing) sector. We need to really develop our people at the individual level or Asia will have to take all the profits of manufacturing.

Wow, never knew the history behind the anger toward anti-western education until now. preach and teach, Emir! Resentment also happens in the western world when the pre-requisite says local licences and experience counts only while disregarding years of experiences and licenses fulfiled outside the country.

Talking of being a liability to Nigeria at 3:40 minutes. The entire youth of Nigeria has been marginalized in so many different ways. Lack of education, unemployment, lack of infrastructure. This all marginalization by the political class.

It is a Blessing that Northern Nigeria wasn't given Western Education.
