I feel the same way. I randomly came across his teachings on Facebook. I wasn't looking for him I wasn't looking for any preachings. I know it was meant for me to see his video that day. Something led me to sit and watch it and also find out who he was. I then signed up for the mail from his church. I didn't even know who Dr Charles Stanley was before that day.

Dr Stanley felt like a dad to me. Mine left bc he didn't want daughters. Dr Stanley's teachings taught me. I am worth something. He taught me to forgive my dad and mom. Now. I KNOW belong to God. I KNOW JESUS is real and died for my sins. I KNOW the Holy Spirit is with me in this world. I am LOVED I am GRATEFUL❤

These principles are excellent and its encouraging to see thier biblical basis. All i can do is teach, and pray. I wish to teach as well as i can for the sake of thier souls. Thats all pastor Stanley could do as well. As much as I wish i can *make* my child believe, love, and submit to God, its thier responsibility amd ultimately thier decision.

I loved Charles Stanley but parenting is one area I wouldn’t take much advice from him. His own son has gone off the rails.

That is not his fault. I can't believe that you would blame Pastor Stanley for what his son is doing. Stop and think about what you are saying please. We cannot control our children or how they behave and you know this. You and I both know that Pastor Stanley brought him up in the way the Lord wanted him to. Andy has chosen the path that he is on Pastor Stanley had nothing to do with it. I agree with you Andy is the total opposite of his dad. But it is not brother Stanley's fault. If you have children that you know that you cannot control them 24/7 especially after they are grown. And if you don't have children you have no right whatsoever to make any sort of judgment on him. Please think about what you have written. Also if you noticed Andy waited until his dad left this world before he came out and said and done the things that he has. Why do you think that is? Because he knows down in his soul what he is doing and saying is wrong and his dad would not approve. Andy is being used by Satan

Did you listen to the sermon? Children make choices independent of their parents, especially as adults, and are not absolutely reflective of the parent. This sermon is very good, and addresses wayward children as you're talking about. Happy Father's Day, by the way and God bless you!
