you rock, Kris! ...this is exactly the video I was looking for. I'm very comfortable with scales etc. and was looking into trying the keytar for leads. This is a perfect introduction for me thank you.

Omgoodness thank you! The 80s was so over the top, and as an 80s kid I was there to see it. I love synthesizers and Keytars. I’m glad you understand my passion for that awesome time. Hugs, health, and happiness from Las Vegas! 🎹🎸🤟 Keytar is life!

@@KeytarKris wonderful. I hear you. I was a teenager most of the 80s. It just hit different when you experienced it first hand.

@@videomarknet exactly! I was a kid playing with GI Joes and Transformers, while my older brothers listened to all the New Wave and Pop Groups of the time. I envy everyone who was a teenager and in their twenties during the 80s. If I had a time machine I’d use it to attend the clubs and concerts of that era. Hugs, health, and happiness from Las Vegas. Keytar is life🎹🎸🤟

NO WAY! My name is Kris[tina] AND I PLAY KEYTAR! In fact I just bought my first KeyTar a month ago, the Korg RK-100s2. I LOVE HOW IT FEELS! I’m not a traditionally trained “pianist” and I feel that the KeyTar feels better in my hands than an actual 61 key synth. BUT, I wish Korg had put more than ten minutes into designing the RK. What’s the deal with NO MIDI IN? It would have been killer to hook this thing up to a FCB1010 floorboard and have instant control over parameters like envelope decay/release. And I certainly do t intend to use my KeyTar as a master clock in my Eurorack rig. Yet the Korg’s arpeggiator will not respond to external midi or even usb clock sources. AND what about a decent editor? I only have an iPad. Bluetooth connectivity would have been sweet. Anyway, we have the same name and we both love KeyTar. Are you seeing anyone?

🎹🎸🤟 thank you so much for watching and commenting! We are like minded souls I guess! I love keytar and was classically trained as well, but playing my own music is where my heart is. I agree about the new Korg Keytars. They should be full size keys and hasve midi in and out to hook up with a sequencer! I’m so glad you ran into my channel. Hugs, health, and happiness from Las Vegas! Keytar is life🎹🎸🤟

I prefer the harmonic minor over natural minor. Do you use "The circle of 5ths"?
