I basically like this sled, but decided that it needed a few minor modifications: countersinking Although the holes on the bottom plate (for the wood screws) are countersunk, the heads of the screws on my sled still extended past the surface. Since this could let them scratch the top of the saw, I made the countersinking just a bit deeper. riving knife On some table saws, the riving knife extends above the top of the blade. So, the back plate of the saw cannot be cut unless the riving knife is (temporarily) removed. Also, once the knife is reinstalled, it will prevent the sled from being used when the blade is raised to its full height. So, with the blade fully raised, I marked the back plate with the height of the knife. I then used a hacksaw blade as a pull saw to extend both sides of the slot upwards. I then cleared out the remaining bits of wood, leaving a clear path for the top of the knife. clamp attachment The screws that are used to attach the hold-down clamp to its mounting plate are very short and small, making assembly and adjustment both difficult and error-prone. The tiny nuts and washers are also a nuisance to handle. Finally, although the screw heads probably can't pull through the plate, I disliked how low they sat in its troughs. So, I replaced all of these fasteners with four sets of 1/2" 10-24 flathead screws and nylon stop nuts. These are far easier to work with, in part because they can be loosened slightly for minor adjustments, without any chance of their falling off. clamp adjustment The foot of the hold-down clamp is attached to the rest of the mechanism via a 5/16" threaded rod and a pair of hex nuts. So, in order to adjust it, one must use a pair of wrenches. Also, the rigidity of this setup makes the clamp rather unforgiving of adjustment errors. All told, the clamp's usage seems rather awkward. So, I replaced each hex nut with a wing nut, a steel washer, and a (home made) neoprene washer. I can now adjust the clamp without using tools and the neoprene's softness makes the whole clamp far more forgiving.

I noticed the sled does not seem to sit completely flat on your table saw. I noticed this when you were checking to make sure your blade is at 90 deg. This was also what I experienced after putting it all together. The miter bar sits about 1/16” above my miter slot bottom as if the dado infinity CNCed was not deep enough. I see your using a saw stop and that is what I have. That said I only had to adjust the side to side play on the miter bar. Although the sled does not sit completely flat it makes full contact with both sides of the sled to about 4.5” to 5” from the edges inward so there is no tilting. It just seems like infinity didn’t get the miter bar slot depth as good as they could have. 😏
