All the preordering and lining up would probably break the system 😅 if 3.6 million people are eating it here I can even imagine how many there’d be in America!
We are here for all the facts, we all know who we want on our team for pub quizzes. I love how excited you are for food always ❤️ You never had a bucket and go for the biggest bucket ever. I was really skeptical about KFC for Christmas but you know a perfect Christmas Eve meal. I mean would be rude not too even if we do not have the KFC gravy. 🤷♀️ Thank you for taking everyone with you this December.
Who else is gonna tell everyone that the male platypus is venomous 😅 Love a good weird fact haha. Probably the first and last time we go for a bucket PLUS extras haha. I’m sure some gravy could be arranged for next year ❤️
BTW, I love your honesty when sharing your eating experiences...good food, greasy, etc...but you may have missed out on a KFC sponsorship by being so honest. Anyways, Happy New Year, be safe and thank you for the vlogs!!!
Last year homeboy and I tried the kfc set, very similar but a different plate of course lol. The KFC parking lot was so crowded there was an accident. luckily no one was hurt lol. hope you guys enjoyed your christmas!!
Haha oh wow 😳 it’s an impressive campaign 🙈 can’t say it’s worth all the hype, but I appreciated the extra plate for food on Christmas Day 😆. Did you manage to get the Colonel’s champagne?? Thank you 😊 we had a lovely cosy day! I hope you both did too 🎄✨
@@OshareJapan agreed hahah it’s nice to try once tho 😂 I had also gone to Costco yesterday to pick up a few things and people were lined up for their chicken as well! Oh and no champagne 😂
Interesting. In the USA, KFC has nothing to do with Xmas and KFC is an American company!!! It's interesting how it is the little things that differ in other countries. We don't have the same desserts and the biscuits look different. The packaging and plates are unique to Japan too!! When I saw you haul out the bucket I was about to say that is alot of chicken, but that is a standard bucket of chicken here in the USA. Another great vlog!
That’s a normal bucket size?? I mean, I kind of expected it but also.. 😱😂 I’d love to compare the taste of the Japanese KFC to the American one (I’ve not heard great things but I bet the biscuits are goood 🤤). I think KFC are fortunate that they can monopolize the market here because of the lack of Christians..I don’t imagine a Christmas KFC campaign being half as exciting for Americans 😅
@@OshareJapan In my opinion, KFC fried chicken is good but they have lots of competition here in the US...in Japan, I don't know if they taste the same especially when there isn't any other big competition (?).
I always feel like screaming どういたしまして at the start of your videos, but I don't speak Japanese. In the old days (you know, the '70s) Kentucky Fried Chicken was much better than what you can get these days. Not only was the chicken fantastic, but the biscuits and their gravy was worth the trip all by themselves. The actual Colonel Harland Sanders is quoted as saying “it'll make you throw away durn chicken and just eat the gravy .”
Haha well you’d have me fooled with the hiragana! 😆 Ahh I guess I may have to take another trip to kfc sometime to try the gravy now (even if it is of lower quality than in the 70s!) 😶
@@OshareJapan Sanders was highly critical of KFC after he sold ownership and felt too many cut corners had driven the food quality down. He referred to the current gravy as "water and flour, like the wall paper paste his grandma made" (but, he added a few choice cuss words I won't repeat here.
“How many facts do you have?” 💀🤣😂🤣😂 As he joyously, rightfully, eats that baked chicken skin. 😋🥰 {Edit} WHAT!?!? All that for $50? If American KFC was that delectable, I’d eat it again ! Having not touched it in 25 years.
Ahh that’s awesome! Welcome in advance 😆. You can order in advance online here: www.kfc.co.jp/lp/xmas/reserve/ but it’s in Japanese, so you might need to use a translator
@@OshareJapan thanks for the link! I noticed that there's an order online feature but it says forbidden. Do you know if it's cos I'm not in Japan or is it really just not working? Hope to hear your thoughts.
I wonder if it might well be because you're not in the country 😥. I also realised I sent the link for ordering in store and not online, so maybe this one (online reservation) will work for you? www.kfc.co.jp/lp/xmas/
I was surprised not to see the mashed potatoes, gravy and Coleslaw. Also the biscuits in the US do not have holes in it like a donut. We can order KFC BBQ chicken all year round but they don't sell chicken leg quarters. I was surprised to see that. I don't eat KFC any more it's greasy and most of the stores here where I live are not the cleanest. I prefer Chick-Fil-A chicken strips. Do they have Chick-Fil-A in the UK or Japan?
Ah yup quite a few KFCs in the UK got closed down for their appalling food hygiene ratings 😅. We had Chik-Fil-A in the UK but apparently they all closed down too? We’re more about Nandos chicken and random kebab shops 😂. I’ve got to say the hole kind of surprised me too, not sure what the choice behind that was. Ah coleslaw would’ve been amazing 😍. I kind of like that each region has its own little exclusive things in a way, though.
@@OshareJapan Yea I was telling my friends last night because their kids are studying Japanese language and culture. They were all surprised and what came in the Chicken Bucket
@@johns80schick it was a fun surprise for us too 😆. That’s awesome that they’re studying it 😊 hopefully they have something more to talk about in class now!
It..was not my fave 😅 I can’t imagine what kfc and vinegar would be like together 😳 but now I feel like it’s my duty to try it?? Next video ima be a rounder woman 😂
I don’t think it’s traditional to eat KFC on Christmas in Japan, well, at least people around me and myself had never made it traditional. Though some foreigners think that way because of ads on TV, I guess. I take it quite offensively when my husband (from the U.S) said the KFC joke. I'm not saying that it was a bad idea to shoot this kind of video, but I just wanted you to know that some Japanese people feel like what I mentioned. Thanks for reading :) Merry Christmas to all!!
