Hello , A few months ago, I applied for a PHD program at KFUPM and recently had the interview. Today, I received a response email from the professor saying that he recommended me to the faculty for admission. Could you please tell me what this means? Am I already selected, or do I have to wait for the faculty's confirmation? I have another offer, but KFUPM is my priority, so I need to make a decision soon.
How would they tale to reply to an application for spring intake 2025 I applied in June 2024 My application shows submitted still. I checked another students application who was selected and he was given the selection email exactly 2 months after his submission. What's your opinion on that

Also like to know that whether I need to contact a professor from the university personally to know whether he is willing to be my guide ( acceptance from guide will do good for selection or not).
hi, it's probably because the program is not open in that term, and you may have a chance to apply in the next term. or you can email the department to ask for exact answer.
