Every team that’s a contender has a dynamic shot maker. Lebron and AD are not dynamic shot makers, so it don’t matter if they’re the best players on your team. 80% of AD’s buckets are because someone got him the rock in a position to score (on the block, at the rim, mid post). Bron not coming down the court with the wiggle and getting his shot off. If he’s going downhill he’s gonna score, but when he’s not scoring and getting fouled he’s not getting the calls. DLo is kinda evolving into the shot maker for them, but he’s not Ant man, SGA, Murray, Harden/PG, Book/Beal/KD, Luka/Kyrie, Steph level shot maker and that’s what separates the Lakers from other teams. They have great players in Bron and AD, but the league is about dynamic next level shot makers with shooters around them. The lakers’ have poor roster construction, have had bad luck with injuries, and a bad coach who doesn’t put players in position to win. At this stage of the game Bron is not the rising tide that can lift all boats. He doesn’t impact winning the same way he did when he was younger although his numbers are good (plus minus is good as well). He’s not gonna takeover every game and pull the team to the finish line. Anyone waiting on him do that will be waiting for a long time

It’s the coach and inconsistency I don’t know who there training staff is but they need to fix or just have terrible luck with injuries. They signed 2 people from the heat who where buckets before they got to LA. Every year since Lebron came to LA there have been injuries to key rotation pieces.

The Lakers have been below average to average over the last few seasons and have a new roster every year. Your team is not in a good position when you best player(even if it's Lebron) is about to be 40 years old. The Lakers gave up so many assets and traded away some talented rookies over the years just to win that one ring in during Covid. I remember when they traded Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Julius Randal and D'Angelo Russell(He had to go because of the incident with Nick Young. But, D'Angelo was good). Every season the Lakers have unrealistic expectations on being able to contend for a championship when what they need to do is rebuild when Lebron retires and takes his huge contract with him. They talk about the Lakers more than the Clippers. The Clippers are one game away from being number 1 tied with Minnesota in the West.
