finally I got him after two days here are my tips 1- max out attack and magic reload abilities 2- use 4 thunder surges and 4 Curaga 3- don't try to dodge the lasers just heal when you are at critical health 4- Pray
@@aishiteiruneko i heard that whoeverthefuck created BBS, after seeing that his assistants struggled with him a lot, added one healthbar. Probably trying to imitate lw's glory
@@aishiteiruneko i love this boss and i hate this boss, the idea is very cool but damn he sucks as a boss I keep using max level aqua without surges lol I'll never play as Terra because Aqua can block midair and 360° block while Terra and Ven can't
I will add that leveling up your character does make a difference. A small difference but anything helps. Also, the keyblade you get from No Heart in the arena is super helpful.
Ironically beat this on my third try. I used 4 thunder surges,3 curas, mega potion as a back up. Took off sonic impact, blocked with block renewal getting health back, and within 3 tries and probably praying I beat it as Terra. Now to my Nightmare of hell.... Ice Cream Beat....
@@thecurriedsnag5489 Command Board isn't that hard. Just look for areas with 6+ panels that the opponent can't avoid, and buy all of them. They'll be forced to endure at least 1 tax. Also, make use of the gimmick for each board. Some are incredibly busted or are used poorly by the AI.
Took me just under an hour this morning to learn him and now I can beat him quite consistently at level 50 on critical. One thing I have not seen anywhere is how to deal with lasers as Terra. There actually is a move that lets you dodge all his lasers and it's the thunderstorm shotlock at max level. As soon as he spawns the blue orbs STOP pressing anything, even if your HP is at one, you need to instantly lock on and get the max hits which is very fast with this shotlock. You then need to time the A, X on PlayStation, prompt with at least a Good this will keep you invincible through all laser hits and can do some easy damage. Cure is better than Cura you are far more likely to die from not having a heal up then you are to not be put to one HP after his attacks. Make sure you have renewal block on and sonic thrust OFF. Treasure magnet makes it easier to pick up skills after his aero to pick up. For his fire attack if you get hit just stop pressing anything and don't even heal till he finishes the attack you won't die. If you don't get hit dodge away once then thunder surge into him, you should not take any damage, then dodge away once and thunder surge repeat. It's a badly designed fight but not as luck based as people think you just need to be very good with inputs and not make mistakes.
It gets *VERY* annoying when he deploys those mini-pods that fire lasers though, so that's a *VERY* annoying hurdle for Terra to survive against, and it gets worse if you interrupt MF during his "slow walk" during said "mini-lasers" as it will stop his "slow walk" completely if you do so during the accursed "mini-laser"- attack, thus allowing him to end Terra with his "Doom Web" and so forth, so do *not* interrupt his "slow walk"when he deploys his "mini-lasers" to attack you with. He can also knock he MC up into the air, which bypasses the "Once More/Second Chance" abilities whilst up in the air for somemvery odd reason, so going "aerial" against MF is an absolute *death sentence*, dead serious here... DX And that Wind Tornado attack is also *very* annoying for scatterring the MC's Commands on the field if it connects to him/her, so yeah... :< This fight and Lingering Vanitas is *SOOOOOOO* much easier with Ventus/Aqua (Aqua especiallly...!) due to their *MUCH* more effective dodge maneuvers, really... ^^;
Yes! thank you so much, after a few tries I was finally able to beat him with Terra and got the Platinum. This video popped up in my recommendations just when I was struggling with this boss and it was very helpful!
Suraj Shergill to find it, it’s in Disney Town with the three ducks (Huey, Dewey, and Louie). To play the songs, just memorize when to hit X, hit it when the circle is in the crosshairs, and perhaps most importantly, have patience and practice with it. Trust me, my first time with it was a nightmare. Hopefully, this helps.
I think the worst thing about this fight isn't even the boss it's the CAMERA I'm fighting against I don't even SEE the Tornado/Meteor/Megaflare when Terra is too busy looking at the scenery
Thanks. I finally beat Mysterious Figure. I've been trying on and off today. Finally beat him. I saw in your description that you had Thunder and Fire Boost & I thought that would help me out.
Ur not only one I want to call myself the true master of bbs even tho i dont play as terra, i hate terra in bbs because he's air and ice slide sucks compared to aqua Aqua is the only one Who has a 360° block Mid air block(thats very important in mf fight and others aswell) Smooth air/ice slide Inf dodge roll because u cant play this game really other wise And her attack speed is okay
I mean you can but usually its a good way to throw the fight if you're not careful enough since that's when MF starts combining attacks lol For Terra though it's practically necessary since the longer it takes the more likely you'd die playing him too
Apparently, there are some factors that causes the Doom spam: - Having Ice Slide on the 4th slot of your movement abilities. - Having more than 4 cure spells. The cure things is probably the game's attempt at punishing you for trying to abuse Leaf Bracer's I Frames.
@@christiandelcarmen1278 holy hell this is 3 years old but I stumbled upon this comment when trying to plat after the steam port of these games and literally killed him on the next attempt after dying 9000 times to doom with ice slide in my 4th ability slot. You are an angel.
I did this with aqua in about 3 days (was not playing fully each day had stuff to do) MF is an MFer Lasers he shoots 5 salvos Raging Storm he runs 7 times, the 7th time he loses the spell so it is a safe heal or safe surge attempt His blue sonic blade drill attack is usually 4 dashes Learning this alone makes the fight easier until he turns invisible Cure and Cura are better than Curaga every time in this fight since you should have second chance and once more and being at 2 hp is the same as being at full hp If you D-Link Goofy is best here (Goofy Spin not Turbo) since blocking fills the gauge and you can block his combos, his lasers, his X beam slash, and his blue sonic blade drill Have fun breaking your square button
The key here is to level up as much as you can and be aggressive, it doesnt take long at all unless you freak out and try to run away. You shred his HP with any character if you have fire/thunder boosts and are around level 50ish or higher.
I already got a Platinum Trophy for BBS on PS4 last year, and I wish I knew this strat before I wasted 8 hours trying to beat this fucker as Terra before doing it as Ventus and Aqua, but after I Plat KH3, I think I'll be doing another Platinum run through the series on PS3, so this will probably come in handy when that time comes. I guess what I'm trying to say is thanks for teaching me how to not suck at this boss fight. ☺️
(Old comment, I know) honestly this is what killed my Platinum run in BBS; I still had to do the reports for everyone but I wanted to do all the super bosses as all three characters so all I had to worry about would be melding every command, getting every ice cream flavor, doing the mini games, etc, but after spending so long trying to beat MF as Terra, I just gave up and haven’t tried again in like 2 years
For future reference, as Terra there’s a few things you can do to maximize your survival. Remove Sonic impact from your movement deck, it hinders your dodging. Have curaga and thunder surge in your entire deck Make sure there’s a Curaga at the very top, so when you need an emergency heal you only need to press left on the d-pad to access it. From there, go into the fight and spam dodge. You’ll still get hit as Terra’s dodge is bad, but you won’t get hit as much as if you had sonic impact equipped. Have Heal Block equipped just in case as blocking will then heal you. The D-link you’ll want as an emergency heal is Aqua’s as her D-link when fully leveled revives you after death once. From there, it’s just using thunder surge and curaga when needed while spamming dodge and blocking here and now. Only use the d-link if you don’t have heal commands and *Need* to heal right that second.
I have absolutely no clue how I'm supposed to tank those lasers. That brief little break always results in Second Chance and Once More failing, and if I manage to heal through it, he almost always follows up with the clones, which results in inevitable death if they touch you. Plus, dude can't dodge anything. Talk about frustrating.
Just Quickly if anyone wants beat him as Terra, Remove Sonic impact from your movement deck, it hinders your dodging. Side Note, Mine Commands won’t do anything in terms of damage, he’s immune, but they will force him to jump and give you an opening. I wouldn’t recommend wasting a slot or two on that but it’s somehing to keep in mind.
... dude, you can start a cult and declare yourself their god with a background like that. Just put it on your resume under "dedication" and who cares "job description", you're in regardless 😂
@@darkpromeathean937 working on it. Takes about 50 hours for the first route to 100% but the other routes are faster and easier since its rinse and repeat. I started with terra so going to the other 2 will be so much easier
Your Mysterious Figure is a trash. Mine use every single ability and comebine them to instakill me in 2 seconds. Also he spams that one that one shot you in 4 seconds.
playing this fight for the first time all these years later and just wondering who play tested this and thought it was a good idea to release it in a kids game.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! It was late and I had already turned off my console and then I said screw it. I'll try one more time and the fourth time using this strat worked perfectly!!! You are the best!
This mysterious figure seems tame af compared to the one I’m fighting right now with Aqua getting the absolute shit kicked into me. Are we playing the same game? 😹 /hj
does cura actually charge faster than curaga? I've tried testing it and they seem to charge at exactly the same rate on the version I was playing (BBSFM on PS4). Maybe 5 magic hastes brings them to a point where they can't go lower so they even out?
I beat him after 3 hours it was awful, I realized that if you walk a little away from MF then use slide away from him, MF will start running then you use surge against him so that way you hit him more, I did that whenever I could but its a lot of luck anyway, what a shitty boss...
is it easier if you do this on beginner mode? cause I'm considering it. I only won it on aqua yet I suck with terra and ven. I don't want to have to start over but I'm desperate and this is the only thing I have not won with yet against this jackass.
