ikr. I always assumed that the trigger for neverland was clearing at least this world, Didn't know it only checked world clear count.

@@Vaannnard oddly enough i found an old video with these scenes, and the guy claims that this happens after you beat Hollow Bastion it seems. I wonder which one is correct? Guess I"ll have to test it myself to know for sure.

Not to mention it's pretty difficult to go to Neverland first.

​@Danzigx How so? You just leave Monstro as soon as you get to the first save point and do Halloweentown and Atlantica. Then Neverland unlocks. Only 2 of the 3 between Halloweentown, Atlantica and Monstro have to be completed

Kh1 has a lot of secret things that you can do. Like using Gravity on Maleficent and Xemnas.

ThatChainmecha yeah. I remember figuring out that you could use the stop spells on some bosses too. It was pretty funny for dragon malificent

Quite a few, actually. I think even Riku-Ansem isn't immune, though it lasts much shorter against bosses. And Gravity works at about 2% effectiveness against most bosses.

@@ezekielbaskerville2710 Actually, Riku-Ansem IS immune to stop, and has a special reaction to if you try it where he says "Foolish boy" and immediately does a projectile attack.

He is? Which boss did I mean, then... I know it wasn't Xemnas. *He's* got a weakness against Gravity, though.

I kind of feel sorry for you. Not that the voice acting here isn't good, but if you think it's better than modern Kingdom Hearts games, then you're blinded by nostalgia.

F.B.I vDorgengoa yes. If you do the Monstro world after he changes to Dark Riku, but before the Dark Riku fight in Hollow Bastion the cutscenes are different.

It couldn't have been. Riku wasn't possessed by Ansem at this point. These cutscenes only happen once you first visit Neverland then leave immediately to do Monstro for the first time. Riku gets possessed when you visit Hollow Bastion

@@gamerprince-tl5hg one of my best friends played kingdom hearts and skipped nonstro due to the fact that he couldn't high jump .......after hollow bastion it's speculated that it's ansem or the Riku replica but definitely ansem. it get to a certain point in the game which alluded to this part so there was a possibility definitely it was ansem cuz I don't know if you remember he could still take rikus form for some reason. He did at end of the world before he fought sora Donald and goofy

I think the difference is that Riku is a full on villain after Neverland

Ansem posseses Riku after Sora takes back the Keyblade from him

Someone said it could be [Spoilers for KH3] The time traveling Anti-Riku from KH3 and I just think it's really funny that a vessel of Xehanort would just do this for shits and giggles

At this point, Riku has entered full "Sora is an enemy" mode. At this point he learned to control the heartless, maleficent had fully messed with him. So even without Ansem's control, Riku was still on the wrong side.

Well it makes sense riku being colder to sora and not even trying to join sides, but whats weird is soras line of Liar! You're not Riku!, sora really doesn't have a reason to say that, since by all accounts it is riku, ansem is only on his side by now, not full on possessing him

but the detail, the lore... everything adds up so well. It's impressive they really changed some really short scenes just for this small change, something most players will NEVER see in their playthrough. dang..

Yes you can. When Monstro swallows you, you can just return to world map from the save point and go to the next world.

is this in the remake or the original? PS2 version I don't remember seeing a save point that lets you go back to the ship? been a while though so I probably haven't paid much attention
