😂🤣 Khabib is not well rounded at all, he has the worst striking in mma, ......khabib can't knock out anyone he just smothers them, .....khabib almost died cutting weight and has missed weight multiple times, he is an oversized wrestler in a division full of mainly strikers, this is not impressive

What Khabib is referring to is this......of course hockey is Canada's national sport, the best hockey players of all time are arguably Canadians (Wayne Gretzky, Gordi Howe, Bobby Orr, Sidney Crosby, etc.)...in 2010 we hosted the Olympic games on home soil in Vancouver Canada, and our golden boy of hockey Sydney Crosby, scored the game winning overtime goal (referred to as the Golden Goal) against the Americans to win the Gold Medal. An absolutely HUGE moment for our country. Sidney also led his team to win the Stanley Cup the year before....HOWEVER, GSP was such an amazing athlete and what he was doing on the world stage in MMA, actually earned him Canadian Athlete of the Year above Sidney Crosby......this accomplishment cannot be overstated, Khabib is very respectful and he completely understands this which I find quite fascinating about him. the greatest thing about GSP I think his mindset and humbleness he got in to MMA because he was heavily bullied as a kid and usually people like this 90% of the time become bullies themselves when they gain the power to bully people but it just made him humble. I tell you this and it's definitely true that most of us would not be humble if we were in his place

@@Blueicyyy It's true that at some level some form of being tough on someone or even harsh can be incredibly helpful in their development. The issue is that most people when they do it are not coming from a place of helping people grow but simply to destroy people. Whether we admit it or not, there are far more people who get destroyed from bullying than those who turn out to become gsp.

Funny to think Khabib picked out the 2 opponents that GSP lost too and avenged his losses to as his favourite GSP moments

Yes, because that takes next level determination which khabib does realise, albeit not in the Ufc. Khabib also lost in Sambo and came back to avenge that loss that's why he recognises that losing and coming back is next level thing

What made GSP different from the rest was that he respected the people he fought no matter who they were and exhibited great humility...That for me is what sets GSP apart from the rest.. Yes he was an incredible talent in the ring but he did not trash talk or disrespect anyone and when opponents shot their mouths off at him, he absorbed it all and transmuted it back into the fight...in true martial art philosophy.

DC needs to take it easy and NOT try to patronize KHABIB's knowledge of sports. He may be having a much better insight than most of the Ufc commentators there but the English language is a clear detriment in expressing himself. Man this is a great homage to the welterweight goat by the lightweight goat. Fighters now and in the future may technically surpass him as future generations always will, what he was able to achieve at a time when MMA was considered a fringe sport is something nobody has done since. Yes Connor/Ronda were huge, but they stepped into a globally recognised sport. What GSP did for mma inside and outside the ring is nothing short of legendary.
