To transition from the armbar to the triangle because you don't want to break someones arm in front of his parents... To do that in a title fight with your legacy on the line, against a monster like Justin Gaethje while going through your father's death. A great warrior yet compassionate about his opponent even in the heat of battle. This guy is special.
@@maxmaxneolit cause making homeless people do push-ups for money is what a man of faith does 🤣 you khabib fanboys sure do love framing him as something he isn’t
@@warpony123naaah..you just lost a couple seccond of blood flow..event better, you wake up confuse but you feel like 100% of your stamina are back of just 30-50 seconds before you realize you has been beaten up and the sore came back 😂😂 😂
@@wiley7563 ok damn yes I absolutely agree, but no WAY people really think He is the Overall GOAT of MMA lmaooo no wa 3 title defensive Jones Aka Bones had 14 Title defensives lol this cant even be a discussion that he is the GOAT lol no waaay not even close
@@wesleyrennie1315 Nah, Khabib has said before he respects opponents who won't tap. Not wanting to cause excess damage to your opponent when you've beaten them is not humiliating. Khabib would 100% want an opponent to think the same way about him, cause Khabib wouldn't tap and it's better to wake up from a choke sleep to a lost fight than it is to have your arm snapped.
@@deb4594 haha khabib is so respectful if you go about it the right way. Like hey, we're two people about to go in the cage and try to beat each other up. Sure, say you can beat him, say you see his gaps, but be damned respectful in the lead-up. He won't break your arm in front of your parents.
I think that's what makes Khabib so impressive - everyone knew what he was going to do but nobody could stop him. It's hard not to admire someone so dominant, especially when they exhibit such kind qualities. He's powerful, skilful and has a good heart, regularly thinking about how children look up to their idols and praising others that behave respectfully. The flip side is his disregard for people that set a poor example. He thought Conor McGregor deserved punishment for his disrespectful behaviour in the buildup to their fight, and that Dana White was shameful for exploiting it in promotional material instead of punishing it. He really wanted McGregor to suffer and for White to see it. In Round 2, after minutes of savagely beating him on the ground, he secured a kimura grip on McGregor's famous left arm and paused to call out to Dana, to make sure that he witnessed the destruction he was about to unleash. McGregor managed to prevent himself from being maimed by delivering an illegal knee to Khabib's head - I am sure that Khabib was going to wrench that arm quickly to destroy it, not slowly and progressively to allow a submission before it was injured. The submission hold that Khabib won with in Round 4 was not a choke but a crank intended to cause pain. He did not want to allow McGregor the martyr's dignity of losing consciousness that he gave Gaethje, he wanted him to suffer and to actively submit when he could no longer handle the suffering. It did not look like he wanted to release it even after the referee stopped the fight. Offended Khabib is the thing of nightmares and excellent motivation to behave respectfully.
@@SorenCicchini.. First of all, you just described the match that we all watched 😅, second thing, khabib is a very respected guy and man of principe... He never insult someone our of his own or brings family or religion... He always kept his focus on the cage...that's a response to your claim about khabib poor exemple... We know trash talk bring viewers, but you can't do it out of it's context, even Tony before his game with khabib (that's unfortunately canceled) he never mentioned family or religion like McGregor did... So, keep in mind ppl get what they deserve, most of the time.
I'm speechless..This guy so generous that he even thought of not breaking Justin's arm and turned it into triangle choke... That's amazing!!...Tons of love and respect to KHABIB🙌❤️
@@peradetlic3831 And because he is has the skill set not many do on this planet, to be so confident he will win and control his opponents. Most fighters having Justin in an armbar would feel desperate and yank his arm as hard as possible. Khabib is so damn good he knows he doesn't have to finish the fight that way he can transition. Truly amazing but, not to surprising as he grew up/raised as a fighter. It's so natural to him someone like myself could never dream of being as good as him even if I train for 10 years straight as I first started martial arts when I was 20.
He's actually giving Gaethje a big compliment here by not only saying how hard he hits, but how tough he thought he was by thinking he'd let his arm break before tapping.
And then went on to massacre him by saying that mid way through the fight he was thinking of all the possible ways he could win without hurting him like a little baby and then actually pulled it off like it was nothing.
@@chingatu6644do you not think fighters are constantly assessing their odds of winning and what they have to do? When they go back into the corner they are told how they looked that round and where to improve. Fighting is impov plus muscle memory and the ability to read your opponent. Learn to fight and then comment kiddo
I like his confidence and his critical thinking. He thinks past more than just the victory he considers the other wrestler and their family. He sees them as real people and I respect that
Even in the midst of battle, Khabib still showed restraint and mercy towards his opponent. Not only that, he also respected Gaethe's parents enough to know not to hurt their son too much to the point of breaking his arm. A true warrior and champion!
Khabib is the realist, most honest and very knowledgeable guy.....he fights and speaks from the heart....I always liked him.....even though our backgrounds are worlds apart he's a standup guy.....
Khabib is the goat like so humble he doesn’t want to break someone’s arm because there to tough to tap so just go to sleep he doesn’t wanna ruin someone’s career . Khabib the man
Fuckin animal genius! "Better to choke than break opponents arm"...caring that his parents were there, this dude is a GOAT in my book...his best line to Dana - "Send me location."
I never heard Khabib speak such positive words about any other fighter. High regard for Justin. If ever a fighter was desiring validation from others , there is no one better than the great Khabib! A great fighter, a great father, a great man. A role model for all!
It kinda scary that Khabib is in control to easily break his opponent's arm but out of sympathy of the opponent's parent, he changed to triangle choke🥶🥶
@@Morley_94 saying "oh I could have broke his arm but I didn't, that's how much better I am " If u do what u do that's cool but no need to be ass about it, it's literally downplaying enemy
@@niewiemkurde900 this phrase has a story behind. He is not saying those words to decorate his ability but to explain he would have done that instead he did choke for the sake of his parents and he exactly did that. If you saw the game u can see he switching arm to choke.
@@niewiemkurde900 also if he want to disrespect Justin , he wouldn't be saying Justin hit like a truck and he is harder to wrestle. The problem is your perspective which is motivated by your hate towards him or his legacy.
Thats the reason Gaethje admired khabib even after a loss. many fighters wouldnt even talk to their opponent and get mad about the memory. Khabib got consoled by Gaethje and also got the respect. Class recognises Class.
Proud Muslim.. that how a true humble Muslim thinks.. Im soo proud to call man like khabib as my Muslim Brother.. we have one blood one soul.. bow head to the Judge of Judgement day, Allah Subhanwatala
For this reason alone is why I consider khabib the Goat of this sport. Ones character define so much of who they are and what they stand for and that's one thing you cannot take away from khabib.
Fuck you......by your logic, you bring shame and denigrate to muslim since you dont fight like kabib .....its kabibs success as a person who dedicated his life to sport ,not muslim community success on kabibs hardwork idiot...
That goes to show you the level of class this man has. Not only is he focused on winning the fight. But he also has it in his mind not to hurt his opponent in front of his opponents parents. Fuckin class, that's a real man.
Man that's why he's the GOAT, he's literally playing 3d chess on how to not mangle his opponent because he is fond of him and didn't want to make his parents see their son get injured like that. That's all heart man.
I feel like it's impossible not to like this man. He's probably one of the few good role models for young men in the world full of clowns. You know what not even just young man even grown an ass man could learn a lot from him Lord knows I could.
Very respectful opponent. I like khabib, he's not here for the money and he respects his elders and those who respect him. Very good man with a great legacy
His thinking is on another level, no wonder why noone could beat him. He knows if he break his arm, it will never be the same again, so he saved his career that day.
How can you not love this guy bro? I’m mean seriously!! Dude is so humble then brings your parents into it so sweetly. Khabib is such a polite monster.
I think he was very humble and likable while he was fighting but now he has been talking down on great fighters like Charles and Jose Aldo and it has made a lot of people lose respect for him
