I dont think you understand. We fought in both wars as Allied forces against the German Empire and later the Third Reich. To suggest that we fought our own in British uniform is a very far reach. Sure we had a civil war where we knocked the bollocks out of each other after we got independence but as our history would suggest, we have always fought the British alongside the Scots and Welsh, unless when uniting to fight in both wars against the aggressors in Europe. This kind of mis-information would certainly hit home with people less informed, mind you. We havent had a conflict on our soil bar the Troubles in the 80's. So the only conflict where this claim would make sense would be during the Easter Rising. In many respects the claim is just a poke in the dark at something that might get people talking, ultimately I doubt its grounded in truth. Unlike the proof that Khabib has ties to the dictator Kadyrov.

I have not seen a single grappler more dominant in the UFC than Khabib. He's miles above Mendes in terms of grappling and anyone else for that matter. I have to go outside the UFC for someone as skilled which is Ben Askren. He eventually retired from MMA undefeated in both Bellator and One FC.

well the thing is, if that shot connects, it'll be the same for khabib as if that left hand connected perfectly for conor. with the speed of that takedown, it won't be easy to even get a strike off at all, let alone an effective one. One wrong move and it's into Khabib's territory for the rest of the round potentially. What I've learned since starting grappling (after doing primarily striking based martial arts since I was 5) is that, it's much harder to defend someone seriously trying to take you down than it is to survive some strikes, no matter how good they are.
