my aunt told me a story about fairies existing in reality. It was night time , the children were playing . They were small (like 5-7). During playing , they went into to jungle and got lost . The villagers went to search for thier kid . It was hard to find them as it was night time . They came back and lost faith. The next morning when they went into the jungle they found the kids in a cave. The kids told them some people wearing white clothes were protecting them and gave them food

A very similar but evil version of the story is found in western Odisha, here a group of seven sisters, who reside in waterbodies, steal handsome guys, and marry them. Apparently, many boys have been lost while bathing in rivers and also here in western Odisha, no family has ever birthed seven sisters, there would be either 6 or 8, or if 7 are born someone will die. The only sisters that have ever existed are the seven sisters of the waterbody. edit: my mom just told me that long ago, a guy was abducted by the sisters and then he apparently came back claiming the seven sisters are real.

I am from uttarakhand. I have always heard stories about fairies (Aachri in our language)from elders . It is believed till now, that if we shout while plucking flowers fairies get attracted and they take us to their world .

Their is a story about of a boy who got vanished he used to take his animals for gazing while he used to play flute very beautiful and fairy take him away.. I have lived in old tehri as my dad was in tehri dam project and my mom told me that mountain was kind of visible from our house and as a toddler i used to look at that mountain for hrs and smile. (Am not sure if its that same mountain but that mountain was known as padiyo ka pahdad as well) . I dont remember it but my mom tell me as a child that was my fav place to look at for hrs. Also legend says those who go there dont come back sane so idk.

I really wanted to listen this story from a long time. My brother told me about this place and after listening from you it feels nice
