@@MarysRoom Watching this video and reading the above prophetic (?) exchange following the rumor around Slimane's depature from Celine (and watching the video you posted today, too, of course!).
Love this story ! It’s so inspiring for us all. I love the idea that clothes should last . I like clothes that are well made. Mary I like your videos. You are indeed an authentic modern minimalist woman ❤😊
I love Khaite and think that quality wise they are much better than the row. However the prices now are super high and it is becoming unaffordable. 😢😢😢 as for slow fashion, buying to cherish, etc. I am as a consumer with it since I work for the money and can not buy whatever my eye lays on) but when it comes from brands, it’s hypocritical because if they do not sell with profit, they will be out of business. It’s just marketing that goes along with agenda. Thank you for your videos
Yes, I'm in your boat. I buy consciously,. Definitely not old or even new money. I'm working money that buys a few core pieces when I can. Thank you for watching Julia❤
Adore KHAITE ! Own several pair of boots and just splurged on the MAE cashmere sweater . Slowly but surely adding to my collection. Really enjoyed the video - thank you !
She makes amazing designs. I'm so curious about the Dallas boots. They look insanely cool, but not sure if they would cut me off. Thank you for watching ❤
I love your channel so much. I’ve been obsessed with Khaite for years now. I didn’t know she worked at elder statesman?! They make fabulous cashmere. Her aesthetic seems to be shifting, but you really sense she’s doing clothing for a modern woman in the city. Loved this so much. Thanks for all you do!
Another extremely informative video. I actually hope i get to hear your opinion on brands like Selkie, Ohpolly and kai collective. Not to mention brands like Hanifa and Teuta matoshi - is it slow fashion or rebranded fast fashion?
I love Khaite rib knits. I have several and I really do cherish them but boy are they overpriced. I don’t care what anyone says a rib knit made out of viscose and polyester should not be $1100
I only have one Khaite turtleneck, its 100% silk and it's one of my most worn pieces of clothing. I picked it up end of season sales and I wish I purchased another. Thank you for watching!
I don't know this brand but from what I can see in this video, her style is quite fussy and not at all timeless or like the clothes in her mother's wardrobe, there seems to be a contradiction there
Maybe, it's just a different form of timelessness. Not everything has to super minimal, tasteful and serious. A healthy dose of whimsy and flamboyance can be good sometimes.
