Joshua Woshua There is a difference between a guitar player and someone who makes music "smacking a midi". A guitar player focuses on the technical side of playing, not the creative side like these "midi smacking" composers do. Most likely, the guitarist probably cant write his own music, which is why he has to play someone else's music, and there is nothing wrong with that. Some people just want to master being instrument players or singers. Others want to make music rather than master an instrument or be a singer. Others want to do it all a.k.a Singer/Songwriters. The lack of talent in one area of music, such as not being a great instrument player, does not make a person less of a musician. Everyone has their role in a song. It's like saying a composer for an orchestra is not a musician because he does not know how to play the violin or any other instrument in the orchestra. A composer's interest in music is creating the music. Not to master an instrument.
