This is my favorite video you guys have made. The storytelling was spot on. But never good when your tour guide at the boat is yelling HELP. Reminded me of the movie Open Water. The view was amazing and was so pretty when you guys were kayaking. Too bad they rushed the opening. WhenI have to film in dark places I switch to my phone. I love cave tours. This video was 30 min but felt like 5 min. Thanks for taking along.
Thank you soooo much! With the low performance of our recent episodes and since we removed the Korean cooking videos, our channel is going through a rough patch and we needed some morale boost like your comment! We keep loosing subscribers, but knowing someone loves our latest videos gives us motivation to keep working hard and not give up this youtube world... Thank you Santos family! 🙏
@@LifetimeTravelmates Yea, RU-vid is fickle but of you make videos you love and are passionate about, the views and subscribers are bonus! You guys have been one of my favorite channels in all of youtube.
@@SantosChronicles Absolutely agree with all you said, Carl! What an awesome video. And, yes, one of our fave couples on YT! Keep up Jordi and HK, we understand your pain, and our rough patch continues like a saga ...the saga continues We will come back out stronger! or wiser or something 😆

Seriously the first 30 seconds of this video are so intense!! The breakfast with the view! We are in love!! It truly is beautiful, we have to show you our favorite corner here in Turkiye, every time we go we say: "It seems like we are in Thailand or the Philippines" and hopefully one day you come in person! That is a lot of people! I love how you label this chapter "Things start getting weird" hahaha
Great video! Heading to Thailand soon and definitely considering Khao Sok and what to do /not to do :) Can I ask which camera you are using + the camera-stick? :)
If you like nature, definitely staying in Khao Sok area is great. Check our other episodes about that area because the lake is not everything! 😉 We are shooting with an Insta360 ONE R + its "invisible selfie stick"
Such a nice looking cat! Khao Sok looks beautiful. Southern Thailand has some truly stunning landscapes with all the limestone caves/cliffs/mountains everywhere.
The clouds make it a bit intriguing, it is another kind of beauty. No guide for you!! hahaha hey, there is the guide. Astonishing views from the boat ride guys, what a dream to be there. Menos mal que te ries, yo estaria un poco agobiada. Ay madre, is he stopping or not? I am getting anxious. You guys get to pet the fish hahaha, a full sensorial experience
You're right. Clouds and changing weather make it more interesting than plain blue sky 😅😂 Well, it was a bit messy at first, but with those views you forget (and forgive) most of that stuff
The lake in Khao Sok national park is man made for hydroelectricity. One of the reasons it was chosen as the location to build the dam was because of its high rainfall so it could be sunny and then cloudy and rainy all of a sudden in one day.
There will always be crazy travel experiences like this that don't go as you planned, but on the bright side you still got to experience the beauty of Khao Sok. The weather did make the scenery look even more dramatic though!
I loved the honest review at the end of the video. It seems like a bright sunny day might have positively influenced your trip (despite the scary mechanical issues).
Thanks for watching and for your super thanks! 🙏 We are all about honesty. We're tired of all the fakery and lies on RU-vid and social media in general. We hope you enjoy more of our episodes!
As always you two are so honest and transparent. Thank you for sharing things as they are. The editing of this video is really good! We are loving it! Lieles would have run away if he was there with the spider, even probably swim back to the main meeting point More honest opinion! We are loving this! Love, love, love this video, storytelling, editing, and you guys. Bravo!
Lucky that we shot the bad moments and messy parts too. Otherwise we would be left with only normal good footage and difficult to tell that story without the right images 😅 We might not have the best image quality or the coolest editing, but we can be honest about what we see and feel 😉 which is something missing big time here on yt and social media in general...
@@LifetimeTravelmates we love the editing, and we always enjoy your videos because you are genuine. Editing is the decoration, what matters is the story and the human factor... Or so we think ☺️
Enjoyed watching your video. Having stayed on the lake I have a few comments to make. The first, it probably wasn’t a bad tour company, rather a bad choice to do a one day tour. If that’s all the time you have then I guess it’s better than not going at all. I believe one night tours are too rushed … as you said, time wasted getting tickets, waiting for boats, waiting for lunch etc. the weather, unfortunately can’t be controlled regardless of tour company. I did this in March this year. Fabulous clear skies, definitely need a roof on the long tail for shade, just wanted to get in the water. With some research, I chose to do 3 days, 2 nights on the lake. So as the one nighters were packing and left at 09:30 on day 2, I had the whole day to swim, kayak relax and just enjoy the beautiful scenery. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Also, the one day tours don’t take you in as far as if you are staying overnight. So we had plenty of time in the boat exploring the lake just to get to where we were staying, as well as evening boat tours for animal watching, and a morning boat tour each day to hopefully see the animals awaking and coming down to drink /feed. Luck enough to see elephants both during the evening and morning boat tours. So advice - don’t do a day tour unless you have limited time, stay 2 nights if you can, and research Thailand weather to get sunny, cloudless days. Cheers
There were some dramatic moments and we were not sure what was going to happen to you guys! Such a detailed video and enjoyed it a lot. As it is so hot here during the day, it was attractive for us when you said it was a bit cloudy. Kayaking looked great and the landscape looked stunning. Thank you for the tips to compare with other companies etc. Hope you had some nice dinner and beer after the trip. ☺️
What an amazing view from your accommodation 😍 and it has its own Meowscot 😆 Despite the weather, the scenery still had a beautiful landscape. The cave looks kinda spooky haha.
Hi! Thanks for watching! Every tour company offers different ones to different locations. Ours was about 1h or so each way. But there are several companies offering different stops to eat, caves, for kayaking, etc.
Hi! Thanks for watching! We usually don't put prices because they can get outdated quite fast and vary depending on season, company, number of people. But since you ask, for us, we booked through our hotel and we paid 1500 thb per person. Including all you see (van to lake pier, boat, lunch, kayak, cave tour).
Tot i que no entenc res, el tipus de vídeo m agrada força, més que els que feu tant ràpids, intueixo que expliqueu coses que no són massa personals pero que a mi m agraden. Felicitats. No dono abast a veure tot el que penseu. Cuideu vos

Hope you can join for Songkran festival 13-15 April everywhere in Thailand and 19 April in Pattaya Hope you can join the most fun water festival, waiting 💦💦
Thanks for watching! This is just our experience. There are many other better and worse tourist companies offering better and worse experiences. But yeah, no fake bs on our videos.
