13 minute walking tour of the camp & jobsite. KAZ is near Basra, which is where Iran, Iraq, and Kuwait come together at the north end of the Persian Gulf
How many "step downs" does electricity leaving a typical generation plant take before it reaches my wall outlet to run my coffee maker? Would be a cool video to see you give a comprehensive overview of electricity generation and distribution. Love your walking tours. DCO
Heya Doug! Always great to hear from you, brother. Wisconsin has a two-tiered transmission grid: 345,000 and 138,000 volts comes out of the power stations and there are intermediate steps of 69kV (half of 138) and 34.5 kV (half 69) and then to 10-14.4 kv for neighborhood distribution before being transformed down to household voltages.
Love these vids Charlie! What an incredibly interesting job to have, in my opinion anyways... The plastic and garbage everywhere is crazy! Maybe a dumb question, what's the fuel source for the turbines? Natural gas? Fuel oil? Didn't see any coal piles around. Take care!
Hi Daryl! Glad you're enjoying my channel. It's a tough life out here but somebodys gotta keep the lights on! The turbines at this site in Iraq operate on natural gas! I thank you for your comments, please share my channel with any of your friends!
Shame on you-I’m a specialist and came to HELP your country. God bless you anyways. I’m sorry that George Bush decided to attack Iraq. I was a schoolboy when all that happened was. How is it my fault? Grow up!
