biografi Elam=Bakhtiari Elam was an ancient Pre-Iranic civilization centered in the far west and southwest of what is now modern-day Iran, stretching from the lowlands of what is now Khuzestan Province populated by (Bakhtiari People) as well as a small part of southern Iraq. . orresponding to the Sumerian elam(a), the Akkadian elamtu, and the Elamite haltamti. Elamite states were among the leading political forces of the Ancient Near East. In classical literature, Elam was more often referred to as Susiana a name derived from its capital, Anshan (modern..izeh) and Susa

That is true, hamedan was in ancient times Ecbatana, the ancient capital of the medes. in fact we can say that most of the "persians"of Iran are actually of median-parthian descent. The true descendants of Pars are the Shirazi, and maybe isfahani. The reason that persians are called persians is because of the language that they all speak (which is actually a parthian dialect, not a true persian dialect). In fact Kurds have a more similar language to ancient persian and mede than modern persian.
"Dorood bar IRAN va Irani", Iranians have always referred to their homeland as "Iran". This is obvious in mass of Iranian literature such as Ferdosi's masterwork the magnificent "Shahnameh", the pahlavi sources, and so forth. However, Iran was referred to as Persia in the west and in most non-Iranian text such as the bible. The terms Iran and Persia refer to the same noble nation and people. "Payandeh IRAN!"
Lol, well i am only half bakhtiari, half hamedani-mashadi ( there is also a good possiblity that i have hindi and some slavic in me also. there is also SOME talk in my family that i MIGHT have some kurdish in me). but about bakhtiaris calling themselves persian, most of the bakhtiaris i know also call themselves persian, when i listen to bakhtiari music it sounds very similar to persian, especially to the isfahani accent.
You should know that "persians" never called themselves persian until the 20th century, before that they just knew themselves and the people around them as "Irani." It was the west that called iran "persia" and iranians (all, even kurds, turks, and other tribes of iran) as "persian," which i think was and is wrong. We just knew ourselves (and the Bakhtiyari still know themselves) as "Irani," no matter what tribe or il we were from, and i think thats how it should be again.
hmmm.....that is interesting, i have to go and see what the bakhtiari community thinks about this, far as I know we are neither persian or kurd, but we like to call ourselves persian (most of us). this is the first time i have ever heard a bakhtiari call himself a kurd ( im not doubting you, just saying ive never heard it before). as far as being oppressed, the only time i know that bakhtiaris were oppressed was by reza shah who tried to destroy the bakhtiari ( by the way reza shah was gilaki).
No, not really. But does it really matter my friend? We bakhtiaris, just like kurds, are a iranian(iranic) aryan people. First and foremost, though, we are all human beings and must treat one another like humans no matter who we might be :) .
Really? that's interesting, most of us just know ourselves as bakhtiari (we dont even like to be called lori, lol), but hey, i guess ppl have their own opinions. sometimes we call ourselves persian also. By the way, my heart goes out for all the kurds being imposed.
