Very Very Good!!!! I get customer with same problem. Dealer can’t help and very expensive. So I let VEPRO fix customer ECM. And they did it 😮. Kia works fine no issues. Thanks you Guys!!! You are really awesome and Professional!!!
You just described why Hyundai and Kia with physical keys can be stolen easily in the USA. Thank you for the details. I would have never known that bulky key had no immobilizer for USA.
hello friend, I appreciate your video. but I would like to ask a few things. I have a 2011 Sonata smart key system that has a Smatra immobilizer problem like in the video... and I would like to know if these Kia or Hyundai models have an immobilizer or anti-theft unit. the local programmer can't seem to find it
You require MASTER or SLAVE. Flex Master reads/writes unencrypted files. Flex Slave reads/writes encrypted files and require to be connected to a Master to do file modifications.
I have 2008 Sedona EX with immobilizer in the US. Can you upgrade my ECU to disable it? I have have no start issues. My remote start works but the car has a key up under the dash board tied to the remote start. But, my other two keys won't start in the ignition cylinder.
Watched your video and it's quite interesting as I have exactly the same problem with my Hyundai Tucson Smartra Module...as per OBD2 fault code P1690. It has been a week and there's no positive result with the Hyundai dealer so I'm desperate to have the Immobilizer disabled. I'm here in the Philippines and I'm wondering if you cater such thing. Thank you for your kind reply.
I have one on my VW CC. I don't know what the hell makes him say that. And not we got a U.S. model kia with the same damn problem. Idk if I can trust this guy anymore. 🤣
What's the solution for all the stolen Toronto vehicles of all makes that show up in Africa and the Middle East with Ontario license plates still on them? I had one that is used in some countries, but MSN censored me and don't suppose YT would allow it either.
Having Immobilizer issues on 2015 Hyundai Veloster Turbo. Key unlocks and locks doors but it won't start. It's a push to start. Was told by locksmith it's an ignition button or immobilizer issue. What is the cost to delete??
What happens for those cars that have the push start system? A friend has a hyundai veloster 2013 and it has the same issue where it's says "no response from the smatra unit"!
Hello Sir i have a question about i check my vehicle needs to replace ECU a elantra 2013 what all i need to replace if i change it from a used ECU do i need to replace smatra from the same vehicle ECU is?
Replacing ECU requires either disabling immo or need to replace multiple modules for the vehicle to start. We can update VIN and disable immo for kia Hyundai ECUs.
Unfortunately no. Assuming same problem, Either replace the smartra unit and harness at times. Or disable immo system through advanced tools and expertise. You can reach out to info@vepro.ca for further service details
Genesis also can be done but if it's the push to start system, there is a common electronic steering lock failure and we offer a plug and play no adaptation bypass emulator. Contact info@vepro.ca for further details.
Hi im a master mechanic for 35yrs . Got my gf 2012 kia sorrento 2.4 manual engine this problem is so intermittent. It cranks and no start ive pico scopped cam and crank and fuel pressure and so on everthing is good and so is immobilizer unit. Im 90 % certain its a faulty ecu as i jave pinout all inputs and monitored all pids . When problem happens i loose spark and injector pulse on grounding side not hot main ecu relay so its a driver issue side from ecu. And cam and crank patterns good. Have any of you guys seen faulty ecus on these as i have done so many crank sensors and fuel pumps and ecu relays. My question is do you guys need original ecu or can i send u a uses kne to be vin neutral matched to vehicle i can do imobilizer programing with my scanner but i dont want to buy a j tool for it as they can be expensive. Has anyone been down this road
Common problems with internal misfits and other IC failing. We can either update the VIN in the donour and use other tools to neutralize and program or clone the data from the original ecu to the donour. The latter would be the best cost effective way to resolve this. Please contact info@vepro.ca for further details.
