Kia K2500 Review - Behind the Wheel

Was thinking of getting the Ford Ecosport or the Kia Stonic for my daily drive to the office but Caco got me convinced to get this one instead.

Hey, Autodeal! More content like this please! Hoping for a review of L300, Traviz, H100 and even the Starex.

Nowadays, Kia K2500 and Hyundai H100 are very popular with the new / young businessman. I mean it's cheap, good ac (lalo na pag Sanden), and maintenance is not painful in the pocket but.... it will always depend on what you carry. Being part of the business community I don't really fancy these Korean LCVs... Ang reklamo nga ng ibang Lalamove or even business owners is that "Ang laki ng kaha pero ang hina ng pang ilalim. Kargahan mo lang ng 1 ton dapa na likod." Whenever I meet a new or young businessman/woman looking for a new delivery vehicle, I always point them at the likes of Isuzu NLR, Hino 300, or even the Mitsubishi (Fuso) Canter. Sa size hindi nagkakalayo especially yung likod pero mas malaki ng kaunti ang mga light duty trucks compared to these Korean LCVs pero ang advantage is carrying capacity. As mentioned in the video this Kia will max out at around 1200kgs pero itong mga Japanese Light Duty Trucks has a payload capacity of at least 2000kgs (you can stretch it 2,500 - 2,800 pero masyado ng sobra yun). Again it will boil down to your needs. Kung ang produkto na kinakarga mo ay high density low volume load these Korean LVCs will break sooner than you might think. Put it this way.... sa mga Hyundai H100 o Kia K2500 at 1 ton halos sagad ka na pero sa mga Japanese trucks halfway ka pa lang so kumbaga less worn out yung sasakyan in the long run at the chassis and tires are really meant for heavy loads. Access to the engine is pretty easy as well kasi you can tilt the cab and avoid cooked or roasted testicles tsaka kung AC ang pag uusapan you can ask your dealer to have your truck fitted with AC by Sanden. Mas matibay ang AC sa harap lang kasya front and rear kasi mas less ang kailangan palamigin ng evaporator, compressor, and condenser. Yun lang ang akin. I have nothing against with these vehicles pero kung kargahan ang pag uusapan walang tatalo sa mga 2 tonner trucks. Mas mahal nga lang kasi ang pinaka mura ata na single AC Japanese Light Duty Trucks ay pumapatak ng P1.4M and some even go as P1.6M pero sa pang matagalan hindi ka lugi.

I have a 2010 k2700 panoramic 2.7 diesel(J2) 4X4 no turbo. It is a great vehicle, only problem is dealing with Kia, trying to get replacement parts is near impossible. I still love the van, and still use it. And yes the Aircon is great, keeps the van cool. Easy to drive, and really nice considering i paid under 1mil pesos in 2010. Thank you for reviewing this vehicle.

my fathers k2700 (drop down variant) is already 5 n half years old and still going strong. its been used and abused as a farm workhorse and it never fail to performed. no issues so far, kia are built like a tank ths cars durability is topnotch.

Odd thing about the Thermostat. The Hyundai counterpart (which is the H-100) has a thermostat at the front but none at the back while this Kia is the other way around. Quirky Interesting feature of the foldable front seat though. The cup holders are a win 👍

We have a hyundai h100, kinargahan namin yun sir ng mga plastic ng mugmog puno, lumalambot naman pag puno, pero pakiramdam mo sobrang bigat. At wag kang uupo sa pinaka dulo, dahil pagtumalon yang sasakyan umpog ka.

As someone who rides these types of vehicle from home to school and vice versa, everything said here is true. From the center passenger (especially tall ones) having a difficult time to the MVH noise coming from the rear, these are all true. Even the fact about talking to the driver when I pay my fare while I sit on the very back is sometimes hard especially if there's too much noise. But as what people say, "We will all get used to it". Sadly, these units will be replaced with the newer Mini Buses due to the Modernization the government is doing, and it's sad seeing them go. I always love how Caco does the reviews! Keep it up Caco!

Unang bumibigay diyan sa frist three years ay alternator at injection pump. We have five of them, two nasa mmda impounding area caught twice sa black smoke, 2 working as shuttle service at isa ay cannibalize as spares sa dalawa. Talo sa repair and maintenance.

We have 1 kia k2500 with aluminum closed van for only around 860k worth the price for its specs even if it does not have built in stereo it will not cost you much to buy one 😊 engine is also quiet unlike our old k2700 which we have also 4x4 variants 😁.

No infotainment. But that gives you an opportunity for you to put a high end 2-Din touch screen with Apple Carplay/Android Auto of your choice (if you're gonna get this for PERSONAL/FAMILY use. Also, add a dash-cam (w/ ADAS) with back camera & some parking sensors, while your'e at it. Then again, your spending more for them also.

Is it only good for hauling people? What about other stuff? Does it have mounting points inside? For load testing, you could use an IBC tank and fill it up with water.

That I'm going to purchase one of this models as addition for my business tben,,..I might as well convert the back on a no-window but a full steel and just the two doors at back Because yeah,.If you won't hang on tight to those grabbars! Your going to get the ride of your life So yeah,.It would be better if the rear can be only for cargo's only and for the passenger a 1 plus 1! Is definitely enough,,..The driver and the passenger 😉
