This is an amazing guide to all the 2019 Proceeds. Thank you so much!
I really like the review, really indepth. Which is good. How does Kia not offer this to the rest of the world. Not everyone wants a SUV. Kia clearly has no interest in carmarkets outside Korea and Europe. Decisions like this will hold it back. Poor from Kia.
Just got mine, including the panorama roof, which brings in light and keeps the elegant look of the black roofing. As a former BMW driver, highly recommend the car.
@@jeroenvanderweijde8122 Hey Jeroen, what is the MPG like? I really want to get the GT for a company car, but concerned the MPG is going to be nowhere near the 39.3 advertised? Thanks :)
I do wish this and the Hyundai i30 Fastback shared more similarities, in that the fastback has multiple classy interior colours and styles to choose from and has cooled seats, which you can't get on the Proceed.
If you go for the 140 HP gt line you can choose the standard non-sport leather seats with cooling as well. The gt has Alcantara seats which cannot be cooled since you can't drill holes into Alcantara, because it would tear
@@BeBarnee I unfortunately can't find mentions anywhere of the option in the options/equipment lists in my market, KIA might not consider it a viable seller here.
@@shroomyesc where do you live? The Proceed Comes with Gt Line and real GT trim. The Gt line has standard non-sport seats. Then you have two options. Leather A: non-sport seats in full black leather with heating and cooling Leather B: black sport seats in leather-alcantara and white stiching with heating only. The GT gets sport seats as standard with leather-alcantara and red stiching with heating only. In England you can get the Gt Line S which is the Gt line with all the options bundled together.
Took test drive on proceed gt 2019 Model and was impressed by the interrior but let down by awful fake engine that Took away the smile after testing it. I30 fastback N gave real smile and pleasure of driving.
Great review! Could you review the new Toyota Corolla estate by any chance?I'm on the line between the proceed and the new Corolla. Would appreciate the same detailed review
@@OsvUkVehicleSupply Awesome! I'm looking forward to that! a huge bonus would be if you could get the Corolla with the optional Adaptive Variable Suspension. There are no reviews of the Corolla with that option fitted.
Will test this for sure as it looks really nice and is a great value for the money it costs. That said Im also tempted on a Jaguar XF Estate from 2015 :)
Hardly use the honk but will keep an eye on it :-). For now the only thing is that it sometimes signals me to keep my hands on there wheel even when I have them there - does that happen to you as well?
Why are all the Proceed reviews are about the post 2016 models?! They suck. The 2016 model was the proper Proceed. 3 doors hot hatch. That´s what people expect from a "GT".
Hi Daniel, thank you for the feedback. We review vehicles of various makes and models to help people looking for a new car find exactly what they're looking for.
Like it. Hyundai Kia are doing the business these days. Have an i30 fastback on demo at the moment and the suspension /ride is a real high point. This Proceed is certainly on the list at car change time this year
Love the review, really detailed. It looks fantastic. I wish this was available outside of Europe. The only thing for me is the ride height a touch low. Going over speedhumps or a full load would be a concern. Kia should drop the cerato/forte and sell the Proceed GT and Ceed GT worldwide. Also will there be a review of the Ceed GT?
Glad to see this presenter has returned. Easily the best, reminds me of the comprehensive reviews we used to get on TG 30 years ago. The bloke who just sits in the car talking about the car industry needs ditching.
Having owned a Pro Ceed for the last 4 years I can safely say the build quality is quite rubbish in so many areas and OK in other ways, it feels like it's falling apart though. Try getting parts if you're using a 3rd party mechanic, bloody nightmare. Rang my local dealer 3 times, never rung me back after leaving message. Wouldn't buy another, superficial looks not worth it.
Fantastic review as always. I do have a question though. I am looking at getting the proceed for a company car and like the idea of having the extra poke from the 1.6 petrol, but is the 39mpg really achievable based on motorway miles? Or should I opt for the diesel and sacrifice the nicer interior and performance?
Hi Tom, a good question. It would be best for you to speak over all the benefits of both with one of our vehicle experts here at OSV. www.osv.ltd.uk/contact-us/
Hi there, we're glad you enjoyed the review 😀 If you'd like this car, our vehicle specialist team will definitely be able to help you with this. Request a callback with us today 👍: www.osv.ltd.uk/hello-youtube/
I may have failed to pick the information up due to working while mainly listening to your review, but I was wondering what your impression was of its road noise. Other reviews and owners have mentioned in in somewhat unflattering terms. Thanks!
2 weeks ago I’d never heard about the Proceed and now I have one sitting on my driveway. I went to the Carshop to look at the Ford Focus Estate and a Proceed was sitting next to it and caught my eye. I test drove both and whilst the Ford felt slightly more nimble, the Kia felt head and shoulders more upmarket and refined. In the end I bought neither but another dealer nearby had the one I bought, the Kia Proceed GT Line with auto box and panoramic roof. The latter was a good call as the interior otherwise feels a bit “dungeony”. So far it’s too early to pass a conclusive verdict (I’ve only had the car two days) but I have a long trip planned this weekend so we’ll see...
