thanks for the guide video! 1 tip that might be useful for the less experienced, GET SOME RAGS AND COVER THE OPEN INTAKE INLETS. If you drop a bolt or a spark plug in there your job just got a whole lot bigger!
Thanks for the video explaining in detail. This is the absolute worst car to work on. I recently replaced my wife’s radiator and it took me over 8 hours. Definite for the shop!
FYI CORRECTION: thats not an intake at 2:00 that is called a surge tank that flows purged gas. Recommend replacing the gasket on the surge tank or else there will be P0456 codes potentially small leak.
my 04 started rough idle. after some serious looking have it narrowed down to that intake gasket. looks like I'll be taking it apart to replace it. also plugs, wires, valve covers
valve cover bolts loose? by what standard- did you check with a torque spec- if you start wrenching hard on alum. you will warp, snap, and mess up those covers. Also there are torque SEQUENCE PATTERNS for valve covers.
