I own a Verna iVT. Same engine as this one. I must say that I am more than satisfied with the car's refinement, performance and dynamics and obviously the head turners for Verna. I don't do 0-100 timing, never ever did, not required. When required, I accelerate at 4K RPM to overtake a truck or another vehicle in front and it does the job pretty well. I don't drive beyond 120 kmph, neither required, nor legal on any road in India. One advise for all folks here that we all must remember that a vehicle is a potential killing machine. Victim can be a man or an animal and worst part is you need not be at fault always. Drive safe, drive responsibly.
I have been driving Creta 1.5 ivt since june 2020. Driven almost 25k km. Get 17-18 kmpl on moderate traffic, 12-13 on heavy traffic. On occasions, even 20kmpl with very light traffic and driving consistently at 80-90 speed. Before buying this engine and transmission once needs to understand that you will not get a thrilling experience but will get a hassle free and relaxing experience even when driving in bumper to bumper traffic.
I own the same IVT model. Driven 8k km yet. Pros : Engine is super refined Amazing silence in car. Driven till 160 km/ hour. Can go up also. Average in city is 10 to 11. On highways 14 to 16. On highways the car is delight to drive. Amazing stability. Enjoying the ride. Loved the looks Cons : Every seltos model has stiff suspension which i dont like. Android auto in lower models is wireless. In this it's wired. Slight less powered.
@@sarora3907 driven 19000 km. One chnage. The average has improved. These days New petrol engines average improves with more drive. The speedometere shows an improvement by 2km /l in city. Rest all fine

My experience with my Seltos IVT. So far driven 7K km. Longest drive was Chennai to Bhopal with 4 people (exceptional high speed stability). Driven in ghat hills from Bangalore to Uppinangady via Sakleshpur with 5 people (easy menuviring in hills ghats, sufficient power even ac on). Best mileage is 20km per litre (Bangalore to Chennai at consistent speed of 90km. Ac on with 2 people). Within city traffic average is between 7 to 12km per litre). Top speed never tried but easily touched 170km per hour. Manual mode does show gear numbers on MID. (Total gears are 8). Super refined engine. Headlights are average and lacks when driving in heavy rain. Happy to answer any questions. 👍
@@nniteesh20 yeah bought in Jan 2021. Facelift has those features. I didn't felt any need of it but maybe because I never had it 😂. Honestly manual mode gives you that control when needed - engine breaking etc. IVT has sufficient balance of power. I am not sure how IMT performs but mostly be identical.
@@San-hy5nu my car is from my company lease so I don't have to worry about insurance and services but I believe it should be in budget as I haven't noticed any bills paid in last 3 services by my leasing company.
I am planning to buy ivt but very much confused as have seen a lot of negative reviews on the power and performance in hills and during overtaking. I stay in Bangalore but my driving is mostly for out stations (basically hills).Should i go for this engine?

Driving 1.5 manual petrol almost since launch. Done 20k. Happy with performance and fuel efficiency. Value for money considering I had purchased during "introductory pricing " period.
gagan bhai main apka bhut purana subscriber hu but kl ap kushaq ke 1.5lt ke engine ko bol rhe the ki isme turbo lag hai aur slow pick krti hai aur aj kia ke engine ki tareefo ke pul bandh rhe hn jo ki khin se bhi vw ke 1.5lt ke comparable hi ni hai.. i have driven vw t-roc and woww how refined and powerful engine was that..also driven seltos 1.5lt and it is far behind from vw 1.5lt engine.. definitely you can easily see that his reviews are always tilted toward Hyundai/ kia.. kindly don't cheat your subscriber and give honest and unbiased reviews.. thanks
Wonderfully explained....I have the 1.5 petrol MT and this review truly sums up my overall experience with the vehicle.....petrol 1.5 is for people who are looking to drive their vehicle in a relaxed manner and the maintenance is also very less....the cars main USP is space , comfort and refined engine.

Technical question: how in CVT 1st 2nd 3rd...... Gear ratios comes? I notice the techometer when you hard accelerate, it runs like DCT. CVT generates continuous gears ratios, right. Then why & how this car runs like fixed gear ratios? I saw your City CVT review. There also you did the hard acceleration. There its acts just like CVT. Then not this car?
There are set ratios in every CVT. Imagine you decide 7 different ratios in a CVT and every time you press a button it jumps in between those ratios. That’s how it works. It isn’t really necessary that ratios will remain same once selected, they vary a bit even if you have selected any particular ratio.

Ncap only works till 60km/ h after that all cars are 0 star gives you dead end ...so don't expect anything miracle from build quality just drive safe and in control that's all can save you
Brother for Base till Upper Base Creta is a Yes , as Creta Offer More Features , but if you consider upper Varriants like creta Sx and seltos Htx then its your personal choice. I have booked seltos htx petrol just 2 weeks ago.

brother for hilly area go with diesel variant it will provide much more torque at lower rpm petrol car will shut down at steep if you don't push the gas pedal enough so diesel

Have a question, while driving in “Drive” mode(car is already in motion), is it advisable to change to manual and use paddle shifters ? Does it impact the gear box , or what is the best practice ?

I have bought Kia Seltos HTX+ on April 2021. And I was an experienced driver with over 15-20 years of driving experience with many cars (some of 150000 KM Cars also). As of date, the vehicle has run only about 28000 KM. On 7 Jan 2023. I was traveling from my home to city. It was only 1 KM traffic, suddenly smoke started to come out from the bonnet. My family And I was scared that the vehicle would catch fire. I contacted KIA Care and they sent tow vehicle. After two days On the 9 Jan 2023 I was informed that the Clutch was burnt out due to wear and tear, it is not covered in the warranty, that such wear and tear could have been due to acceleration without properly disengaging the clutch. It was horrible for me while I have 20 years experience. A more probable cause for the clutch being completely worn out could have been that there was a manufacturing defect in the car. In the end, I was covered to pay close to 31k as I have a lot of work. But Still it's not over yet. On 12 Jan 2023, Next day of changing the clutch and pressure plate. The car was again Suddenly went off (in midway.) I was Surprised and very disappointed with the car. Immediately call to Kia Service center and they tow again to service center. #kia #Seltos #disappointed #clutch #issue
For city IVT And for hills - IVT has Manual gear like feature by changing the gear into right side - sports mode and you can change gear 1, 2,3,4 by plus minus method . I haven't drive on hills but for driving on hills I don't think a problem for IVT
