@@uhtijmai Because indians want a car with good fuel efficiency and low price. Kia need to sell these in india to actual mass market customers. It's not gonna sell if it has poor mileage and high price. Manufacturers can't satisfy the 'enthusiasts' in youtube comments. They need sales. Also the 1.4L petrol is sufficient for indian roads.

@@rajestate4364 I'm talking about the engine idiot. This one has the 1.6 turbo gdi engine. It's not available in india. We get the 1.4L t-gdi. Not just the turbo engine. Naturally aspirated engine available in other markets is 2.0L. Here we have the 1.5L.

paula SewScrapMuse , how is the ride comfort wise? Isn’t it firm and bumpy? Road noise level in the cabin?

@@ztekz very little road noise, I do sometimes drive with no radio on & I can only just hear the tyres if the windows are closed. Super comfy ride, I do have to slow down to 25km for a judder bar, but otherwise great.

paula SewScrapMuse, good to know...how do you find the IVT tranny? Not a fan of cvts but can live with it provided it is reliable and not bland sounding. What about drivability? Thanks for the feedback!

@@ztekz it's very drivable on NZ roads even on gravel! Other car is a Colorado ute, so its smoother than that on sealed road, but coped just fine on other

Did a test drive with Kia Sportage and the noise at highway speeds was the main reason to say no. Maybe this one is better.

Audi is the head designer of Kia that’s why every Kia looks so sexy but I love Volvo more and more I think Volvo looks wayy better

Yes, I personally think that curvy side profile is of no match with geometric front and rear.

Just out of curiosity, what do you need a grab handle for? Getting in or out is easy for people over 5ft tall, and when available grab handle is the last place I'd put my hand on while driving anyway. In fact most car maker deliberately remove overhead handle on the driver side

@@gregh9762 I don't mind if they remove the grab handle for the driver, it's the fact they left the indentation in the roof liner to make it obvious it should be there - it cheapens the interior. They have done the same thing on the 2020 Soul. If they are removing it, correct the roof liner to show that it does not belong, like some other vehicle I've seen. Don't get me wrong I like this Seltos a lot, and I've also owned three Kia's, it just seems sloppy finishing off of the vehicle not up to their normal standards - if they have a dummy switch they put a cover on the hole, they don't leave it open.

Don't the grab handles get in way of the curtain airbags

no, my 2016 Soul has four grab handles with side curtain airbags, no different on many other vehicles that have the same.
