just use a hub puller, it'll push that axle in, then put the nut back on. use the rotor on the axle to act as a slide hammer to pop the axle out of the transmission. then move hub out of the way and remove axle
Any way to do it without removing the tie rod? Maybe rotating the wheel to the left will do the trick, so you don't have to remove even the ball joint. -- What if I lift both tires? won't be easier? -- You put 100Ft-lb on the lug nuts, are you sure is that? mine is 2012 automatic and it take from 65-79 ft-lb. -- Do you think 155 ft-lb for the CV axle nut is enough? --- I have to do mine maybe 4/10/2024, grease is getting out and I don't want to waste time replacing boot when I get a brand new for $ 69 include tax and shipping. -- You know you can put the clip on the transmission site up to 12 o'clock position and it will get inside easier? --Have you ever replaced the sway bar bushing? Man, is pain in but. I don't have that rust. I live in desert heat.
I’ve done everything you’ve done in this video all the way up till you released the bottom arm from the wheel hub, but my wheel is turning from left to right hard! It won’t stay in the middle and it’s a bitch to move it to the middle too
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q57mlrLcYog.html You will have to scroll through , near the end of the video I covered this , on the engine replacement. Thanks for watching.
I’m in the middle of replacing my wheel bearing now!! The wheel won’t stay straight though. It keeps falling left to right and holding there really tight! Did I break something?
I had a seized axle on the knuckle as well. I used a torch to heat up the area around the axle spline. Then pb blaster penetrating oil on both sides of the axle, and then an air hammer to knock it out. That way you don't need to pull the axle out.🌈
Glad you said automatics dont lose ATF my 2017 soul is an automatic I've done few axle replacements due to bad wheel bearings fluid has never came out.
The plastic cover on the transmission front. Theres a cap you remove with a 3/8 ratchet or extension end. Even easier you can hand pump it in through the check fill port below that. With it level and running it will trickle out. It only will hold about 3.2 to 3.5 quarts on a drain fill even. Thanks for watching.
