I used to listen to these 2 very fondly, but anymore. I test drove this car and loved it a lot. It’s full of options, such as sun roof, cruise control, parking sensors, floating screen with Android Auto, Apple Car Play, push start button, 6 air bags, 6 speakers, , single zone climate control, peppy engine, among others. Does Toyota Yaris and Honda City offer these features? It may seem like the same size as that of hatchback. But it’s not. It doesn’t have a full-sized trunk , but has the same passenger space as that of a full-sized sedan. It’s perfect for daily city commute.
Oh please kia’s just trying to sell this “suv” by adding additional features, rest it’s crap for the price they’re offering it for. It’s the same size as vitz and swift on steroids. This car has the same chasis as Kia rio which is a small hatchback. Also check the size of the cars on paper, your assumptions about the size and “it doesn’t seem like that” doesn’t matter. Yaris and Honda City don’t offer these features but they’re bigger in size (both body and engine wise) plus the price difference is huge. About 8 lacs between yaris ativ 1.5 and about 5 lacs between City Aspire 1.5 (on road price).
@@omer-fb1wt , there is imperceptible difference in power between 1.4 and 1.5 L engines. So, you shouldn’t even bring this up. As for the size, I am happy this doesn’t have a trunk. Who needs a trunk daily these days , after all ? Few people need huge luggage spaces in trunks these days. And even, on rare occasions, if we need a bit of more luggage space, we can make use of the roof racks. Speaking of comfort, style and appeal, this car has a lot more of them on account of the extra features that Honda and Toyota don’t offer. Another extra comfort-related feature that you get in this car is lower road noise because of superior sound dampening. The sound tests of these two Johnnyies proved that. As for my cabin space-related “assumption “, I didn’t feel that its cabin space is any smaller. I test drove this car and also drove the Honda City the same day. I have Yaris already and I used to drive it on a daily basis. I repeat, I didn’t find KIA’s cabin space to be any less than that of Yaris and City.
@@uzair3508 well certainly we need to take price-category/size comparison into account. If you don’t need a trunk and a small hatchback for local use, you should simply go for Kia picanto in that case. We’ll obviously compare the price to the category of the car, not on the basis of what you find comfortable to sit in and what you don’t. As far as interior space is concerned, Suzuki alto is far more spacious than a Honda Civic, does that mean it should also be priced at 4 million?
@@uzair3508 also the price difference for the “extra features” they are offering is not justified at all. It’s 8 lacs more than yaris and 5 lacs more than City. Would’ve meant competition if they priced it to similar to those cars. You can get a 1.6 Corolla Altis for 4 lacs less than this (which is a C category sedan). While you can also go for Honda Vezel in the same price range which is superior in every way compared to stonic
@@omer-fb1wt, There is a perceptable difference between Picanto's and this car's interior space. Picanto is noticibably smalller from the inside. It feels a lot more clastrophobic than Stonic. We shouldn't compare the two. Please sit in both of them one after the other at your local showroom to find out what I am talking about. Regarding the Altas-Stonic comparison, Stonic wins hands down - again. Stonic has a sunroof; parking sensors; 6 airbags; Android Auto/Apple Carplay; no trunk, which is great for manovering, parking and general city driving; halogen headlingts; far superior infotainment system; and, more importantly, higher stability because of the almost equal width but shorter length. I wouldn't compare Stonic with Honda City as well. This is because the Honda City being sold in Pakistan is a very old generation, and since the ages-old design and plaform have been selling for a long time, they can keep the price down. They have economic of scale and sales history working in their favour. New entrants don't have that advantage. Additionally, the City, for that matter Corolla also, has become an eye sore now. They are ubiquitous. We need something different now, something fresh, and something more appealing. Coming to what you said about the Alto having the same interior space as the Civic, this is a joke. Lol. Civic is noticible larger from the inside. You don't seem to have an accurate sense of sizes and dimensions.
Thanks for the detailed review. It is indeed a hatchback. I think it is good as a second car. I have booked this vehicle for the following reasons; 1. Increased safety features 2. Maneuverability due to smaller length 3. Good fuel average 4. Sporty look 5. Sponsors have good reputation
Same here. One of my friends got his car delivered and it was love at first sight. The size of the car is small but it's good for city driving as well as a good option for my wife to drive
Fully loaded features... Pakistan 1st safest car.. Milage in city 15+ with ac Main road 19+ with ac Awesome Build quality no comparison with honda, toyota and suzuki.. 2 lac onn on it. New upcoming swift smaller than stonic with the price 37 lac+ Mgzs 44.5 lac just has height and nothing. Brv has just space... City you recommend, i didn't know why.. 🙏 Never mind i totally disagree with this review.
Bro Literally Mujhe Samajh Nhi Aata Ke In Ki Konsi Dushmani H Iss Gari Ke Saath Matlab IK Corolla Or Elantra Is Ke Price Wise Direct Competitors Hn Lekin Ye Gari Features Ke Hisab Se Unn Se Buhat Ooper Ki Cheez H Or Vitz Ko Kyun Compare Krr Rahe Hn Ye Stonic Ke Saath Uss Mn To Rim Bhi Mushkil Se Aata H😂
Really impressive content as usual guys. Just a suggestion/feedback, in your final verdict section, maybe look into incorporating numbers based on different factors (comfort, fuel average, space, quality etc) so it sorts of form a benchmark. Comparing cars in the future based on the said benchmark would become beneficial for potential buyers and a lot easier as well. Great work!
I, along with many others, press the like button even before watching your video, that's the level of confidence we have in you that when a video comes up on your channel, we know straightforward it's gonna be great
Reviews are very good. Can always rely on you guys. Especially since you give a non biased in depth review which is not given by other channels. Keep doing what you are doing. Will always watch.
A proper review! Proper research plus comparing with other competitive. Such reviews really help a one to decide what would be the best option for him/her! Kudos yar. Ant editing is on point. Hats Off to both guys. Keep up such reviews! No way I'm going with a sub! 🙏
Re unlock button 8:07 The reason for providing lock/unlock button in the center is comfort and safety. At times, you forget to lock your doors and start driving away. In a traditional design, it's slightly difficult and somewhat dangerous to lock doors by bending your arm to the side while driving. But that's not the case if the button is in the center. All you need to do is extend your left arm. It's not "odd," it's ergonomical -- a concept most Pakistani consumers aren't aware of.
I personally disagree, this wasnt a review this was the bad side of stonic, you nevet mentioned its advantages. When it was launched it was not the best option, but now it is the best for someone like me who can't spend more than 6 million. Elantra is 3 lac more expensive, swift is way too small, and had no features, city is okay build quality is not good, alsvin is not reliable, yaris face-lift is a joke. Now that the stonic is 5.5 mil, it is very good, it is reliable, feature packed, its resale is getting better. It is even capable of going on mountains easily. So i recommend stonic 👍 I think now in 2024 your opinion is gonna change, (i hope so). As soon as my previous car sells, i will inshallah purchase this. Btw i am having problems selling my previous car, ang suggestions on how to sell it more quickly??
Fairly balanced review but could have been framed better. My main issue with most Pak reviews of this car are the awkward comparisons with sedans and bigger crossovers. Different segments, different priorities. It's natural competitors are obviously other subcompact crossovers. Also, many Pak reviewers seem to have an issue with it feeling like a large hatch but thats not necessarily a negative. Its smaller dimensions give it a good balance of slightly raised driving position and overall stability imo. It has a nimble character and I personally really like that.
I think ali bhai is elder so elder people are also a sedan lover like me but hyundai elantra which is launch on pakistan is old generation and corolla also and civic so at this time i prefer stonic or yaris
Civic will launch new model next year on feb and i think stonic is nice car from look wise and from interior inka review itna koye acha nahi laga compact suv ka size itna hi hota elantra is older model
Thanks for another great review Few suggestions 1. Front field of view is always a bit compromised onto the pillars side for even care with very good front visibility, so we can add a comparison to worst like Sportage or MG or with some good ones 2. Engine Bay view is normally not well covered in details,. May be you can add Engine view, battery position, the ease for adding up water, radiator size and there can be so many things 3. High speed stability, braking, night experience inside car with cabin lights, Rest awesome
Would you change your review now based on current prices Elantra 2.0 is now at 60 lakh (on road with registeration) which is around 9 lakh more than stonic ex+ on road 1.6 is is 55 lakh A good vezel (2018 model or above) now is also close to 60 lakh now. Even city aspire is close to 47 So now, with greater difference in price with competition, do you think its worth it ?
We’ll soon make an updated video about it and Peugeot 2008. You can watch our new video in which we talked about Stonic and 2008’s value proposition in 2023. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N3xvkpfG410.html
Would never buy this. it is small and not Economical in fuel efficency + parts (its new i believe its parts would be way more expensive than City 6th gen).i also checked this car, its rear space is very bad😵. Love your review its Unbiased and true! ❤
It is the best car under 6 million Don't talk about Swift. Swift has zero features and almost no back space. The city is its only competitor, and alsvin is not reliable, and alsvin resale value and build quality isn't great. Yaris face-lift is too expensive
It depends on how you drive and the traffic conditions. You can easily get 15-18 km/l at speeds of 70-90 km/h. In traffic, it gives around 11 km/l or more. On long routes, at speeds above 120 km/h, it gives about 13.5 km/l, and around 100 km/h, it can give 16 km/l or more.
As per your verdict if price of this hatch back is comparable to city than worth to buy so KIA has reduced the price from 6.2 Mn to 4.8 Mn. So now is it worth to buy ?
Thanks Qaiser, both cars offer a different utility. If you want more space for rear passengers and a bigger trunk then go for BR-V, if you want to drive yourself in city then Stonic. It’s better to check both cars in person before buying any car.
I think people would have preferred this if the price for EX was 33 lacs And for EX plus 35 lacs because then people would compare it with city and Yaris and stonic looks like a better option but 38.8 lacs is just too much Elantra or Corolla is way better option I am not saying civic because now it is also over priced a lot .
i am hesitating between MG ZS (44.45Lakh) and Stonic EX+ imported (42.5Lakh), can you recommend. i found that performance wise Stonic is better, more features (front/back sensors, arm rest, retractable side mirrors, hill support, track support, 6-speed, smar opening, smart engine start), better look but the downside is size, space and not really a SUV. What do you recommend? or new SWIFT?
You guys are my go to reviewers when it comes to unbiased opinions on car but this particular now feels dated because the options you mentioned are around 7 to 8 lacs expensive. As for debate regarding it being hatch or suv, it definitely feels like a hatch but all over thr world, it is known as compact SUV so who are we to suggest otherwise. I personally loved the drive and feel of Stonic way more than new Swift and Peugeot 2008. Road Grip, Maneuverability and Quality of drive is second to none.
Aaj kal jitni bhi cars Pakistan me launch ho rahi hain un sub ki price bohat zada set ki rahi hy or maze ki bat yeah hy k price high rakhne k liye unko galt category me mention kiya ja raha hy. For example MG GT jo k Internation market me City or Yaris se compete krti hy usko Pakistan me Civic or Corolla k 7 pitch kiya ja raha hy. KIA Stonic jo k B segment me ati hy usko b C segment sedan ki price me launch kiya geya hy. MG ZS jo k B segment me ati hy usko b C segment sedan ki price me launch kiya geya hy. Changan Alsvin ki price me bohat zada hy kis b International market se.
I disagree with your review. I have driven the car, it is full of features. I have previously used Civic, Corolla, City, and Swift. Among all of them, I liked this car more. I will rate it based on comfort, build quality, safety, fuel economy, and design.
You guys have ctossed Pak wheel expert reviews due to very professional, very nice and true reviews.I was thinking to purchase a SUV of the city but Thanks a lot for clearing my thoughts and saved my hard earned money to go in waste in the form of an hatch back. Thanks a lot
I am literally in between Civic 10th Generation and Kia Stonic . Kis stonic Ex+costs me around 53-54 lacs Zero metre where as Civic 2021 model in used condition costs me around 63 lacs . Means i have to pay 10 lacs more for the used civic of 3 years old model . What should i go for , Civic or Stonic , Remember stonic will save my 10 lacs and it will be Brand new as compared to Civic. kindly suggest
Ap 10 lac save karo, aur stonic le lo, achi gari ha aur resale bhi uski behtar ho Rahi ha, lekin agr 10 lac aur spend kar sakte han, tou elantra le lein. Used garion ke masle nikal ate han
Your review is impressive and impartial. I always want if reviewer can add turned on light in night/darkness to see the beauty of headlights in darkness. Again I like your concept of reviewing.
Look wise the car is cool. But when u compare its price one shud definitely go for elantra as comapred to stonic. Nonetheless if you have extra and uninvested cash and u need a second car for your personal use then one can go for this car just because of its exterior looks and saftey features.
Thank God there is someone who is comparing the price of the car to the actual size of the car. Full chuna from KIA. It is not even comparable to city or yaris in dimensions. But they priced to civic and grande. Bad price bracket
Why do pakistanis only look at size and that too base it at height . Looking at the cinematics it looks almost same size as elantra and i believe both hqve similar wheelbases and as of current car prices i believe with these features it is a great option
spot on. the pricing strategy has been totally miscalculated by Kia. If it is a B segment Sub compact so called SUV it should have been priced between 30-33 lakh at max. It makes no sense at whopping price tag of 38 lakh plus when one can get a C segment Sedan.
I had planned to buy this car but after your this video i have changed my idea. Thank you for guiding me. I would however like to take your help in an important matter. Actually I have GLI 1300 cc manual model 2018 . Only driven 12500 km. The car is in an excellent condition with alloy rims, back view camera etc. I want to sale it and shift to some really good automatic car. I safely hope that this car of mine will sell for around Rs 31,00,000. Could you please guide me what automatic sedan can I buy within this amount or I can pour maximum a couple of lakh in it. Kind do reply. Thanks
I own a Brv and was thinking to sell it and buy stonic just for the sake of sunroof. But after witnessing it in person I decided against it and fully contended with my decision.
Stonic is much better than brv as compare to Features, build quality and safety. Brv has just space and nothing. I also booked stonic. Must visit and do test drive you will clear everything.
I prefer that go for Toyota Raize. Price is same But raize is big in size . And have more features than Stonic. features which Stonic don’t have but raize have 👇 Anti collision system Lane assist Adaptive cruises control 8 Airbags Heated seats 360 degree angle camera Eco idle 17” Diamond Cut alloy rims PWR mode Auto fold side mirrors
You guys didn’t talk about generation of Elantra/civic/Corolla. That’s why it better to launch older generation with slight lower price tag. Because that’s the mindset of most Pakistan people. I am pretty sure if we got the new generation of Elantra that would cost around 5 million. Civic is launching new generation in April 2022. That would cost 5.5 million
This car is also almost 5 years old. They’ll soon launch a newer generation of this internationally and we’ll be stuck with this. What’s your point here? Also we’ll obviously compare it’s price with the cars currently offered in our country. Ya phir thailand k saath compare karna shuro karde? Ajeeb.
@@aqibkhan2729 Dear let me correct you crossover is totally a sperate segment... A vehicle with some practicalities of a sedan & some capabilities of SUV is called Crossover... A term SUV totally refers to a Vehicle with ladder frame chassis, etc G wagon, land cruiser, Range Rover & Jeep Wrangler... You are welcome...
@@hassanrafaqat5710 yes, a crossover combines elements of sedans and SUVs. It is still a type of SUV. There is no universally agreed upon definition of a crossover, or even a SUV for that matter. Generally speaking though, crossovers share a platform with a "passenger car"...for ex in this case the Stonic shares its platform with Rio. There are car-based SUVs (called crossovers) and SUVs based on light-trucks (such as the ones you mentioned).
@@aqibkhan2729 Sir i second the way you elaborate this but eventually a unibody vehicle cannot be characterized as SUV. Because just because increase in ground clearance you cannot called them SUVs. These all are marketing gimmicks by companies to position their car as more attractive. No wonder someday Suzuki increase 1" of ground clearance of Alto with 15" tyres and rebrand it as SUV for cites, same as KIA doing with Stonic 😂
@@hassanrafaqat5710 in that case Range Rover is also not a SUV since it has had a unibody construction for a long time now. Would you agree with that? How about Nissan Pathfinder? Or Kia Sorento? I can go on but I think you get the idea.
I have booked this car already (just bcz delivery time of civic and grande was quite high with price hike risk, i went for stonic), but now it seems i made a big mistake 🥴
@@SafwanAlavi i got my car and i am pretty much satisfied from looks to the great comfortable ride...its an all in all package....only thing it lacks is power of civic, which i do not need 90% of the times...but its not bad at all. I am loving it....driven 3k so far
I also prefer elentra in this price but there so much other things.. Token tax annually punjab Elantra 25000 Stonic 8000 Fuel efficient Elantra 9-10 & 12-13 Stonic 14-1& & 17-18 Maintenance and part of Elentra is much much expensive than stonic. As you said its under powered than corolla gli 1.3 is much powered 79hp and 100 torque..
This car has a height of 1505 mm and they call it SUV. Wagon R has a height of 1700 mm that is more than 190 mm more than this car. Also Wagon R's ground clearance is more than this car. By this definition Wagon R is city SUV as well.
