The vagaries of climate change that include erratic rains have impacted negatively on farming activities across the country. For those who practice zero grazing, scarcity of fodder is one of the key challenges they have to grapple with. But as they say, necessity is the mother of invention. A farmer in Kiambu County has taken up a method known as silaging- where fodder is preserved underground to ensure enough supply of feeds throughout the year. Our reporter Gladys Kigo visited the farm and filed the following report.
