Nice to see somebody kick start his bike correctly. No need for all the antics like leaping off the seat or doing a jig next to it, etc, etc..............PS.....SWEET SCOOTER!
7 years later and still one of my favorite authentic choppers on the tube, right down to the spoon levers. The craftsmanship on the frame and bodywork is a lost art. Looks like a nice collection in the garage too - must be western PA, I have never seen that bike around but I hope it hasn't changed much 👍
Yes. Erie Pa. I’m now in Florida. I sold that bike about 5 years ago to make room for new projects. It was wrecked a short time later. Then sold off. I sometimes think about remaking another sister bike. Follow me on Instagram #doubleknucklechoppers
@@1mstevens Oh, that's a shame. Thanks for responding, I knew you were an alright guy when I saw you straddle the bike to start it lol - what's up with everyone standing on the side to kick them these days ?
Hey that looks like the high riser bicycle I had in the mid 70's .Mind you my three speed shifter was mounted high on the center rail and it had banana seat but I was cool as fuck when I'd roll up to that cornerstone to get my Popsicle
Real bikes,, no oversized fat tire on the back, no oversized ghetto wheels. just good choppers. nice. & we always had to kick back in my day, bc only new bikes at a button. & we had old bikes. My last bike that I just sold was 66 shovel kick & elec. that's a good combo. LOL
66 &67 used panhead bottom end,, the 68 had the 1st cone style bottom end the 1st true shovel style. Blew my bottom end & actually replaced it with a 56 pan,, In Ct I had to register it as a 56,/ composite.
I would never get a old Harley because I'm lazy, I would never use a chopper because it is not my kind of personnal taste.... but dude, your bikes are awesome. Make me think to 70's wild movies. Greeting from FRANCE.
I'm a shovelhead guy myself, got a first year shovel '66 in a '57 panhead straight leg frame that came factory without sidecar lugs or a tripletree lock originally built in Feb of 1970 by an associate of mine I've known for 45-47 years...for my $.02 worth I'd do something with that unflattering fuel cell...I get the"style" bit, but consider a few options. I admire the collective sum of your parts.
I'm running a Weber on my knuckle too. It's all about the chopper style. Originally it had a big down draft on it. Bike was sold some time ago then got wrecked
Mark, give me some tips on how to kick start my bike, i have the same thing as the one on the video, i can start the bike no problem, but is there a secret? It hurts my foot(ankle)
As nice a chop as u will ever see I have 3 Harley one rigid panhead as nice as anyone of your bikes I'd put it up against all 3 u got but for anybody to have 3 builds with the caliber of yours is out fuckin standing if had pans and every other Harley ever made built a lot but only ever had one as nice as your 3 and never sold it but hats off 2 u
How big of a motor would need that monster carb setup? Always dug the big bulky look but wouldn't want to get poor performance because of overfueling. Are they responsive on the low and mid range or more of a wot drag bike kinda deal?
@@1mstevens sick!!!! Good to hear, thanks for the response btw. I see ebay has china knockoffs for less than 200 bucks of the DCOE40 i'm wondering if I should even bother with that just to get famaliarized then drop the 700ish that a real one goes for. I hear rivera used to make a bolt on manifold but i'm having a tough time finding one -.-
@@1mstevens okay good to know. Honestly the idea to run one only crossed my mind this morning.. so I can't say i've got much time invested in research and actually finding the parrs yet
It was built to resemble a chopper that you might have experienced seeing in the 60's, he wanted that old school flamboyant look, I personally love my twin cam 96" but to each his own, also have a 65 Pan if that gives me any more credibility😂
Nice bike, super detail! And now the but, the rake and stretch on it just does not go with the frame very well. But you own it and I dont, so carry on!
Mark Stevens why else would you have several bikes in a garage? Tuff guy in your wall mart Jean shorts. To impress the neighbors or just lots of young men?
