What is the difference between a cruise max and an Amish Scooter? Is it good for Long distances and speed as well as some off road? Im trying to decide which is best for me. After a recent trip to Lancaster I discovered these and want one very much. Can a basket be added?
Hi @Judith Stuck Kickbike make a scooter much like an Amish Scooter. It's called the City G4. You can see it here on the FORM + DESIGN web-site formanddesign.com.au/search.php?search_query_adv=%22City+G4%22 It comes with a basket and is a reasonably comfortable ride. It has steel tubing so that makes it a bit heavier than the Cruise Max which is made of alloy. You can add a basket to the handle bar if you want. There are several options for doing this. I have a preference for the Cruise Max. If ind it to be the most comfortable ride of all the Kickbikes (personal opinion). With both of these Kickbikes you stand very upright, like you would with an Amish Scooter, the Cruise Max just feels nicer and the frame is a little bit springy so you get a very comfortable ride and that is coupled with lower pressure balloon tyres which also add to the comfort level.
@Judith Stuck, it's not really made for that. As its name suggests it's made for cruising. That would be cruising on sealed surfaces in particular. If you want a "go anywhere" kind of model (and I stress "kind of") go for either a Cross Max (mountain bike genes) or a Fat Max (Fat Mountain Bike genes). See them here formanddesign.com.au/cross-max-20hd/ and here formanddesign.com.au/fat-max-scooter-black/
