It's not just a sales pitch that kicking is practically stretching. I rode mine 28 miles yesterday and feel nice and fresh today. It's also a much more full body workout than bike riding.
@@kickbikeamerica4342 very good video. How is it on hills up and down? Btw have you seen those zero flat tires? That would be a great option. Zero down time. California we get thorns that kill tires.
I have a daily commute with my young son and adapting to his tempo I did not get a workout on my regular bike. Then I found a kickbike and it changed everything. Works up a real sweat and is a great support for running which is my main objective.
I bought one of these many yearsago and it is great 0 maintenance. I tried adding a front wheel motor to heolp on Vermont's steep hills. A 350 watt front wheel was not powerful enough to help and it made the bike heavy. So I put the orginal wheel back on and continue to enjoy it. We finally got a bike path with fewer less hills. This brand is super light which my dog appreciates.
I bought the schwinn adult kick bike. After a few trips , had to learn a comfortable technique.. great all round body workout , with no impact. I'm a senior with lower back and knee pain and found with good posture it was no problem.
I have been riding a footbike for 6 years and 3 years on fixed gear bike. When my knees start to hurt from the fixed gear, I switch to the bike and it helps. This is my experience.
@03:58 I am 6'3". Every bike ride, I have been moving my legs, in what feels like, a little tiny circles to propel myself. I wish they made bikes with double or triple sized front cog pedal wheels, so I get a fuller range of motion when I ride. Kudos to this bike that allows fuller range of motion.
You definitely need longer cranks on your regular bike. But yes, kickbiking is a fantastic alternative. I started a few weeks ago and love it, wish I had found this many years earlier.
Alright I'm sold. I hate bike seats which causes me not to ride much, and trying again recently I've noticed the back pain more too. I have to put the seat higher to get a full extension on my leg, but then it's too awkward to get going and i have to put more weight on my hands that constantly go numb because of it. And of course the seat is just wedged into a bad area. It's just a disaster. Time to get a kick bike
Mine arrives this week. I’m in Melbourne Australia and I can’t wait. Rehabbing a knee/hip injury and I look forward to getting back into the game. Can’t wait to go along the bike tracks in my town and ride along the coastline. Yay.
Just ordered an Osprey one of these! It should be here in a day from now I'm very excited to get a biking experience again without as much pain, been years since I've ridden anything. Plus it's good for the environment, and it's gonna save me SO much money just going to work! I'm definitely sending this video to some friends, you got me even more excited about my order!!
LOL, of all the things that have broken on a bike, it's NEVER been the chain. I rode bikes for many years, now I'm tired of oiling chains, inflating tires, tightening brake cables, etc. I ride a razor scooter.
i know im randomly asking but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my login password. I love any help you can give me
I really want one. I was trying to decide if I should invest in this or a bike (for running my dog), and this brought up a whole lot of good points (especially the dang chain on the bike). The only issue is it's really expensive to ship to Alaska and I can't find any local :( But I freaking love these things
Damn well you are in the perfect place then - you realize that kickbikes are ideal for mushing? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f0ZE3OOydjI.html&ab_channel=KickbikeAmerica
I already have a scooter that folds but I really wanna get a kick bike, I don’t want to learn how to ride a bike as an adult and know how to ride a scooter already so one of these would be perfect for long commutes to the train station and back
Didn’t want to spend a lot on my first Kickbike since wasn’t sure I’d like it. Got the osprey one on Amazon, and used it so much it’s falling apart. I rehabbed my running knee injury on my scooter when I wasn’t allowed to run and the bmx style kept me going out on the trails I love while I was injured. But now my dogs mushing it have busted both brakes and neither front or rear wheel has ever stayed true even after a bike shop alignment. I’m finally ready to spend more for a better built scoot. Looks like Kickbike America have some designed for mushing, most likely going to get one of those soon.
Saw one on Facebook marketplace. Thinking of buying one throwing a carbon fork, front deep dish carbon wheel, stem, wide carbon bars, and ultegra brakes. Might have to do it
It would have been interesting to hear you run off a brief list of some of the models, with a description of what they are best suited for. For example, Safari = off-road? It didn't look like an off-road "bike".
Looks nice. Thank you for the video? Two questions: Is there a model thay fits well for a 6'5" person? And, is there a folding model for getting on flights?
Sheeeesh! How fast is it? Am i gonna be slower on it than i am on my razor carbon flux? In the 90s kick scooters were the slowest ride around i was faster on roller blades by far. When razor revived scooters i was able to beat the average person on a mountain bike ... What does this thing do? Is it up to me how fast it goes or is it like the 90s ones that arent capable of hogh speed?
You are actually "Unselling to me" as bike shop owner some came in with one of these for build and I loved the idea but now you seem to ripping into bikes. Walking, running, bikes and scooters all have merits so play to that without dissing the other.
