Jobless and got Kicked out by his sister, Lazy Boy goes into a guild to become an adventurer, and his overpowering skills bring the strongest S-rank heroes to their knees - Manhwa Recap
interesting to see a lazy prodigy protagonist than just a shunned character to gain his godly powers. Since I did heard prodigies tend to either act lazy/arrogant in a bad case scenario (though props to the sister giving him the motivation in some way)
I wonder if he is in a similar situation as Saitama where he is too strong and since there are for what we know, aren't people on his level in magic and physical power, he doesn't feel too motivated to improve or learn much. Perhaps meeting people similar in power could better motivate him?
@@doggochan8384nah i think it's closer to gifted kid burnout like that one chinese student who dropped out of college to basically become a shut in despite being a prodigy in everything
@@namaracka Tbh, being prodigy forces so much pressure that you are inclined to not do anything rather than do something as you have to up your previous track record or keep it at the same level. You feel burnout all the time and the bottled stress just builds up until you give up and just want to do nothing for your life. Even though you can do anything you want. If only people didn't expect anything from a prodigy, the words of disappointment wouldn't be so crushingly heavy and wouldn't give that painful depression of not wanting to do anything.
I have a cousin who was in college at 13, and had his PHD at 20. He started several businesses and sold them off, making a quite a bit of money, and now he is "retired" (his words) so now he never leaves his house, smokes weed and plays videogames everyday 7 days week. I saw him over Thanksgiving and he looked homeless. Smart people are a different sort.
What does being a prodigy have to do with raw power output? It can't be more complex spell to have higher power output because he was trying to lower the damage from his magic arrow.
It is just life sometimes you just wanna laze around and do nothing even if you are really good at something and can pursue a career in it. Being talented usually means your actual hopes and dreams are not of work but usually self interest hobbies. And usually you don’t have much dreams and goals because of your talent and you are so done with the high expectations people have of you. That is a fucking pain in the ass when people talk about you reaching a high position in some kind of career that requires rigorous work and talk like I have to do it. Fuck that shit.
The fact that you aren't giving proper credit is just wrong.... Literally, the translator translated, and the author created the work and NEITHER is getting the credit because you don't want to share it..... That's just scummy behavior....
Are they though? Might take longer to set up the AI and while you do this you also get entertainment for yourself, but let's assume you're right, sprinkled shit, is still shit.@@abilol4151
Oh wow the guy who didn't want him to join the guild because of his fear of bad PR has no idea how bad it would get if the newbie were recruited by a different guild later on.
To be honest, while I hate annoying characters that does a certain punchable face being arrogant, I really want to see it once just MC rubbing it in them, parading around being a sassy lost child.
Love the little quips throughout the video the one at 18:18 got me and this story is pretty damn good shit if it ended here i wouldn't complain but id obviously love to see a continuation
I enjoy angles like this where someone is completely oblivious to how others are actually thinking / acting because of lack of social experiences or understanding.
I hate humiliating people, especially when it’s someone who doesn’t deserve it or by some guy who just has endless infinite power for no effort or vastly easier than everyone else. I’d, for once, like to see an OP protagonist who is humble about their abilities without trying to downplay themselves as weak. Edit: I was wrong, bro click baited me into thinking the story was going to be awful.
Um. My guy there’s a lot of those. A lot of op protagonists straight up deny the fact they are skilled. Also. In most cases when op portags do humiliate people. The people being humiliated deserve it. There are very few op protags who humiliate people just to humiliate them
Uhm, aside from the fact that you are wrong about this story there's WAY TOO MANY of those stories you said, I'm talking MCs that re invincible and spend basically the whole series with an inferiority complex and rejecting reality
The guild master is dumb as hell for rejecting him. It’s like giving a nuclear Bomb to an enemy country just cause it’s better than all the other bombs you’ve created. How can anyone be that dumb? Omg.
I swear this had more chapter cause he does a couple of missions and then the guild master tries fighting him but gets one shot soo many times but the man still tried fighting the mc till the mc got bored and concerned
@@rgama1173 We didn't choose to be born into this mess, why do we _have_ to do anything? Why do we _have_ to do things that benefit others? Some of us are content sitting in a house our entire lives, minding our own business and not being conformed to society. Ever considered that? That maybe society isn't the best thing for all people. That maybe society hurts some people? Society at large only benefits the failures, eg; the people who have no individual or unique skills themselves, the cogs in the machine, especially our society. Thousands of years ago these people would be militia cannon fodder or farmers, not a single one would live in a city working as a business person or an aristocrat, all of them are failures at the totem pole of society so society was changed to benefit the mass majority of losers at the expense of the unique genuines. It's great to see talent wither and die because the masses need a job.
really how i felt as a kid when i was tossed into advanced classes without any preperation. I kinda stopped feeling the effort was worth it and stepped away from it. I never did better in school then when i stopped caring
The guild master Orphredo has to be actually a Vampire I feel anytime he will just "What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets! But enough talk. Have at you!"
Relatable. I'm no prodigy tho, but I have never had long-term interest for anything besides stuff like "graduate" "get a degree". It's more about filling a need, but there's almost no curious fibres in my being. My only want is "to live comfortably", which can be done easily as I am frugal and rarely want things. The biggest reason behind getting a degree currently is "because I can and because it's a net positive".
this reminds me of that other NEET who end up becoming a teacher. Which shocked his imouto seeing him getting wash his back by his female student in their bathroom ( barely-naked)
I do not like the Guild Master. He was willing to let such amazing talent go. He is so going to regret that. I hope Phonic becomes the new Guild Master after that d-bag gets removed.
What about the lady? Sure she didn’t stand for the MC, but even she was impressed enough to try and help him during the exams. Hmm, maybe *if* the application forms asked for their school’s graduation ranking. After all, he was exceptional in school, and did background checks.
I know it is for the plot. But as the Guild Master of the biggest Guild of the city I would not disqualify the MC. This makes him even look worse in the eyes of the princess as she would now think that 2 of the strongest members of his guild could be easily defeated by fraud. Should she now think "Oh, anyone can beat them with fraud, so they only get the job done if no one cheats?". Nope, it would be wiser to hire him and give him a position into the 8. Or does the position only get filled with new members if someone leaves?
9:15 oh my gawd did you not hear what other people said? they couldn't see the sword slash meaning you shouldn't be able to see it too but you did which makes you abnormal
So the scary thing is, this whole "talented but unmotivated" thing can actually be due to a chemical imbalance in the brain. Worse still, it can often come hand in hand with incredible talent. It's almost as if their talent sucks up all of the energy they need to be motivated to USE that talent. My grandma had something like this, and if she ran out of her meds she would just lose all motivation to do anything, but when she was on her meds she was incredible. I knew another guy who had a brain like a calculator, but if he didn't get enough sleep he would go into epileptic fits. Our brain-juices are complicated and scary, and there's nothing quite as scary to me as losing all of my motivational energy. 😨
I have short burst of moment of "competency" when I'm in the right mood, where I work very fast and finish things up very quickly, but outside of that I can't even motivate myself to do simple stuff. I don't take any meds. Maybe I should but mental healthcare are not taken seriously in my country so I'm kinda ashamed to bring it up. I don't even know what kind of med I would need to be motivated
Bruh, the MC is literally me. I can't find the motivation to do anything but I have big responsibilities. Except, I graduated with an average grade because I didn't work hard in college.
It’s sad if this gem is not getting translated while rental GF train wreck dumpster fire keeps getting chapter after chapter and season after season released..
@@TheDeathmailUmm.. so you don’t know about the Rent GF outrage recently? That idiotic mc was dreaming ofc but it was pretty vivid. Won’t spoil but just do a simple google search brother.
I know how it is, though I'm legally not allowed to get a job due to being seen as "A harm to others and or myself." Bullied, quiet kid, and many issues.
