no mate, this person is very clearly only choosing certain people to engage with, the ones who are "flamboyantly dressed" lets say, the ones who you can tell, they're left wing baed on how they carry themselves/ are dressed, why is it a theme that 90% of people who he engages with are left wingers? ry to get all political but this isn't "londoners" its selected invidicual from london.
are you dumb or just high? because this interviewer person is only choosing certain people to engage with, see if you can watch back a few videos and pot any themes..... why is it 90% of the people he engages with are flamboyantly dressed, overtly left wing based on their dress sense and how they carry themselves too me atleast, its FUCKING OBVIOUS that hes selecting people to talk too. (not stages just walk past people and chooses or doesn't choose to engage with people, but only certain peoples).
It's not the truth tho. It's people spouting what they think sounds good. The blond girl clearly is living off daddy pretending to run a successful streetwear business. It's all fake
Thank you Pablo, once again you've brightened an otherwise very dull day (though ironically today it is actually sunny!). This series is so engaging and eloquently put together, yet so simple.
just found your channel man, i love this series you do. seeing little snapshots of people's day to day lives and how you get them to open up so naturally is amazing. can't wait for more, but in the meantime, i'll be continuing to delve through the backlog!
I studied in the UK for a year now I live back in my country. Watching your vlog takes me back to the streets of London. Good interviews very organic 👌🏻.
Oh WOW! I really love your channel. How interesting just to simply hear stories from people about their lives. No gimmicks or jokes, so refreshing. Keep up the good work, great job! 👏🏼👏🏼
Just discovered this series and I love it, very reminiscent of the old 1960s and 1970s vox pops I like to watch. Thanks Pablo, you use a traditional method with wipes the floor with most trendy modern interview styles!
I *really* liked what the musician said when he refuted music as escapism. Emotions are important, working through things in an emotional way is important. "Down time" is necessary to get your head in the game, otherwise you never process anything and you never learn anything and you never recharge your batteries to allow you to do anything with energy. When Faithless said "This is my Church", he was on to something.
brilliant as always! happy to see that streets of london is still happening :) ps: each time I watch one of these episodes, it somehow makes me feel less alone.
Ironically, chasing happiness will make you anxious and unhappy. Instead we should reduce suffering and improve quality of life. This sounds like being happy but not quite. Rather, we should practice gratitude and seek fulfillment and mastery of our chosen passions/ interests
teflontelefon drugs wouldn’t make me happy because I’m aware that I’d have absolutely no control over my life, I’d be forced into dangerous and degrading situations I’d cause so much pain amongst my family and friends. Happiness shouldn’t be destructive or rebellious it should mean being at peace with yourself spiritually that includes where you live the career you go into the people you invite into your life...
Bret Ellis yes it’s very important to be grateful for each day as it was said nothing lasts forever we have to be careful that time doesn’t pass us by and we don’t end up languishing and becoming bitter and old consumed with regret that would be soul destroying to me
@teflontelefon You're just being an incel now . Trying to find meaning , when you will not find one - until you die . . . "sacrificed " , a very festinate' mind set , on trying to put glory on "sacrificed" -- which should be looked down on . For trying to correlate "happiness" , in this time of human existance . Humans are less likely to even try - or consider reproduceing . Based on how annyoing and worthless babys are -- and how much they sap away the potensial parent's life span and health. A huge loss in this day and age, sex outcompetes over having a mere " "child" " . Edit-(1) 'spam' was replaced with 'span' , the word makes a fully coherent sentence, but with an in-depth tunnel , for all kinds of meanings. Changed, to avoid that .
as an art student who got kicked out at 16 who lives for the amazing nights and culture of raves and is hoping we will all come together again soon and make another summer of love after corona, this episode and all 3 people spoke to me really well
you’re a gifted conversationalist. you seem genuinely interested in people’s thoughts and goals, you can ask digging questions that actually intrigues them.
love your channel, really hit me what the lovely man in the tweed jacket said...life flys so fast, make the most of your loved ones, they go so fast ...simple but really touched me how he said that.
@2:15 That guy just perfectly described the cause of everything that is wrong with this country, we've gone back to a culture of witch hunting, whilst never solving the real problems.
I have just subscribed. I'm pretty sure your 'Streets of London' episodes have gained another dimension of meaning during the pandemic. I hope to see new episodes anytime soon. Respect.
P.S. I Live and work in London, but have not beet to London city centre for 121 days so far since the start of the lockdown. It is not that I just stay inside, but because I did not have any good reason to travel to the center of London yet.
@@HabboTank09 because there not sad enough to care about that. like think about life priorities, youtube verification should not be anywhere near the top.
Pablo you inspired me to hit the streets in my own city over here in the US. I made a video about it and asked people what their thoughts on the state of the world were. I payed homage to your channel thank you for the inspiration.
NEW - I've set up a Patreon page for the 'Streets of London' series so that you can support the creation of these videos should you wish. (link in the description) Thank you! Pablo
I love your series Streets of London so much Pablo! It’s a simple idea but so so interesting. London is full of such colourful characters with interesting perspectives and histories. Do you plan on doing any more??
I like when he said that his music isn't to escape, but to process. I like that. Music does that for me; I can play an album and just think about whatever I want in a way where I don't have social pressures breathing down my neck. It helps when the music resonates with how you are feeling, I believe, such as The Smiths for when you're feeling a bit down :)
It's really interesting, I wanted to make this kind of interviewing video for a long time ago. Even angles are pretty much the same as how I wanted to do! I'm so enjoying yours, thanks 😇
I know it is hard to make more videos outside in the current situations with the epidemic (don’t know what the life in the UK looks like but assuming), but I really like these videos and want to see more coming hopefully. I’m currently in Melbourne, locked down for nearly 6 months now and still have to go minimum 3 months if things turn out to be the best. Not only your videos give great insights from different people, but also they give some virtual experiences in social interaction, which I haven’t had for a long long time. Your videos are so natural, well edited with contents on point, and help me cope with my debilitating mental state. Keep brining the brilliant art pieces champ
Really thankful for your interviewing the first guy. He is so right. People are very private about their art --- I'm a trained dancer that makes electronic based music from Chicago .. lets just say it is very difficult to share things, as people will find ways to chase the "fame" and "spotlight" as none of the connections established are as genuine as they seem. It is also a segregated city that plays into this, as it is very hard to get folks to come from all different sides of the city, to one particular place, to set aside economic difference.. to talk about what we do. The fact the internet is set up like this, might be our own faults as humans -- but damn being so private has really set us back.
I'm a huge fan of Vivian Maier's photography and I see parallels with your work Pablo. Like Maier's work, yours will become more and more valuable with time. What seems ordinary and mundane now will become an extraordinary window into a moment in history. No drama is as interesting as hearing real people talk about real lives. I wish you could revisit these same people in 20 years, and ask the same questions.
2:12 Paranoia and blame, exactly a huge issue. And dissorganized, also a huge issue. We are so disconnected now days I suppose one could say - At least the lower class people.
I see paranoia and blaming coming from all social classes but I think people are interpreting my comment differently as if it's only the lower class people who blames others... But the lower class people are for sure disorganized, they should come together and organize with new ideas, perhaps to create new political initiatives or products/services, but it's difficult to do so if you're depressed and low on resources, which they often are.
I'm 50 now and this is too true, both Parents gone long time now, & siblings are estranged. That middle child syndrome seems to be correct that the female mentioned.
Don't act like you're better, you're only alive for a short period of time and you can't take your money with you so you may as well enjoy it when you can.
@@brandonpsd2963 people are dying (and many of hunger) and there's other ppl that just can't stop thinking about a pair of €800 trainers, yes that's a fucking worry
