Yeah that's a nice dream. Unfortunately there's nothing united about us, and that's what we would need to actually make change. We need to either change the world to try and fit into our ever morphing desires and destroy it in the process, or we need to change ourselves to make ourselves more content and peaceful. The first seems more likely which is a shame as we are taking to many other life forms with us.
This feels strange, revisiting 5 years after my original comment. Reason: I bought, then sold, a used 5D in 2018 and regretted selling it the day after. Fast forward to 2024 and I bought a showroom condition 5D (MPB France, I moved abroad) for £229 (£200). It looks like nobody ever touched it in its 19 years. It will now have my 40mm f/2.8 "pancake" attached. It's a beautiful camera to use. Just that shutter sound alone makes you want to take pictures. I don't think it replaces more modern cameras, it complements them though. I'm about to trade my 50Mp Canon 5DSR in order to buy a Canon R6mkii. That will give me, in my opinion, a collection of cameras that are good enough for the rest of my life. Canon R6mkii, Canon 5D, Canon 6D, Fuji X100V. That's all the bases that I want covering, covered. I have the "Holy Trinity" of Canon Zooms in F4 variants + some Primes. Can I also point out that the 6D is as good a bargain as you are ever likely to find. I'd say it was a modern 5D equivalent. A 5D with the missing parts added. Grab one while you can for £300.
Hey I have one of these! Or rather, my wife Sarah has one. She just uploaded a video to my channel showing it off. She has the black one. Please ignore her when she says stuff about me kidnapping her and locking her in my film cooler. All lies! She's fine, not being forced to comment on all my sprocket hole photo videos at all. I'm not unhinged.
How do you get your photos from your mju onto your phone/laptop after they have been developed? I just bought and mju and would love to know how to get my photos onto my laptop!
Its 2024 and these are still my favorite images from your videos. I watched the A7 review and the pictures felt lifeless.. I have A7 but there is something about the Canon 5D classic. Its very much film like, the colors, the grain, the imperfections. I have to get that camera. Lovely images.
This Series it's amazing ! It will be very interesting to interview successful people in London, immigrants which made a great job there but also love living there . 15 -30 minutes 1 person interview . It will be really cool to hear their STORIES. Just an idea.

Considering the 5D i is known for some of the most flattering out of camera skin tones the mark iv does pretty well by comparison, even though to my eye the 5D i still wins fairly easily. I should imagine the mark iv would give a lot more flexibility in post processing though and also make it much easier to get the shot in less favourable conditions. Depends what you need from your camera really, I'm sticking with the 5D until my needs change if they ever do. 😊
Good video. Good honest examination. I own three 5D Classics. Won't get rid of them. The 5D Classic was my first professional digital camera. For those who have never shot with one, the realization that the Canon 5D Classic has never really been improved upon comes as something of a shock. If I grab any other full-frame, it is usually my Sony A7RIII--but I enjoy the 5D Classic more.
Its a shame that we look at men like him ,not saying he is a boom we all got some fault ,but a well kept hard working husband dont get the acknowledgement these type of people get
Dude. What you said at 2:37 just boosted up my confidence 100% I wanted to buy one but was worried about the looks I'll get. Granted this was 7 yrs ago lol
