@@darianzielinsky96 when Bethlehem Steel closed down in the early 80s here in Buffalo NY in Lackawanna it was like the of the world 😧 at one time they employed over 30,000 workers and less than 5000 when they closed my Dad worked there for 40 years from 1940 to 1980 he retired, just in time before they closed the doors around 1983🥺 that was a sad 😭 time for Western NY State , imported steel, and a outdated plant and old equipment was a major factor in the closesin Republic steel also here followed them about a year later
Union WV steel worker here, just finished my shift. Tonight we rolled steel for baby food containers. Steel is in your everyday even if you don't notice.
