Just got this pole for my daughter, easy to work with and I tried it out so I could get used to it, and so I could help her with it, and I caught a pike with hers. I lost it because I've never fished before and I guess I didn't pull hard enough for the hook to stick lol. But it's a great rod for kids.

I’ve never seen a video that so perfectly communicates both the joy and test of patience that taking young boys fishing is as this one does. I’m going to have to get a one of these and hopefully reduce some of the patience testing with son #3!

LOL he's just like me. As soon as I get a bite I just start running and drag the fish on the land. I'm getting better though

Thanks for the video. I’ve never fished in my life but want to teach my kids this ancient art form in order to teach them where their food comes from.

So nice to see kids doing kids stuff other than being stuck inside. We live right by the sea, search Porthcawl Pier on RU-vid, it's at the bottom of our street. We live probably barely 10 meters above sea level and I have taken my older kids but not my youngest sea angling many times. Time to dust off the rods and get going. He did a bit of course fishing whilst with his cousins during a holiday trip and really enjoyed it. Shame there's not a pontoon so the family have an area they can sit down and enjoy the experience all together. The reactions to the first catches were brilliant made me smile.

Literally just picked up 2 of these for like $8 each on clearance at target yesterday, it’s an upgrade to the Disney rods the girls have from last year which are really good as well

I just picked one of these for my daughter yesterday. Taking her out for bluegill fishing later today. She loves going fishing, and I’m hoping this will be a great pole for her to learn on.
