I must say after riding around listening to this again and one gym session . some of these cudi tracks really grew on me

Kid Cudi is back to his old ways. Loving this album, its dark and depressing which is what he does best

Best produced album he's ever done in my opinion! He's having a ton of fun and experimenting and it seems like he may have found himself in this album in my opinion. I felt the energy and the more I listen to it, the more this whole project grows on me. It's kinda unorthodox, free spirit and experimental. He's pushing into uncharted territory with this one. Kitchen, Rose Golden, ILLusions, Swim in the light, Frequency, Does it, By design and even The Guide are providing some crazy sounds! I dig it. Great vid.

I'm disappointed in these comments. I just don't get it, I understand that everyone has their own opinion and I get that. But stop saying you don't like this album and that it sucks because it's not man on the moon, that's just not fair. He's trying to pick himself up and stay positive, and I admire that. It's a hard thing to do when you've had a life like Cudi's. This album was incredible to me, and if you don't like it because it's not the same as last time then you don't understand what an artist is supposed to do. An artist is supposed to progress, but keeping what sets them apart and he captured that beautifully. In fact, this album was better than Man on the Moon. My full opinion on the matter.

Still waiting the flashback to this album. I like MOTM 3 but PPDS is on another level, personally for me surpassed even MOTM 1 and 2. It's sad that this album failed to sell, I was hoping that Cudi would keep going in this type of vibe and not trying to go to some trap sound like he did in some song in MOTM 3.

I was searching "Kid Cudi" How can you not like 'Releaser'- how can you not appreaciate that beat?However, I can give it to you, it's more appreciated when you're under the influence. The hums give out the best vibrations. It's so beautiful. I know it has to be a sample from his old tracks and I am still looking for it. This is most def a smoker album, it gives the best illusions in your head. The Album is art. I think this is what Kanye was going for when he created 'Yeezus'. 'Dance 4 Enternity' is so live but you have to let it play all the way thru and you will see as into why the beats beauty is so smoothe. **Preface* I've been a Cudi fan since MOTM 1. I've gotten every album since then, too.** Sometimes i dislike when people say "he's back." Really, he as never left... Cudi has been experimenting with sounds and doing it differently than anybody from his genre. Like Meami said, Cudi is a legend in his own right. Now, this album? It's definitely more reminiscent of MOTM 1&2, and even Indicud, but it's on a whole different level. The features on this album are killer; who doesn't love Andre 3,000?! I don't know about you all, but the orchestra that plays along songs like Rose Golden is absolutely beautiful. Did anyone else get an Interstellar vibe from those songs? Honestly, the 1st time i listened to this album, i only liked just a handful of songs, but with time, this is now my second favorite Cudi album next to MOTM 1. I think this is the most well produced Cudi album, though.

This may not be my favourite album ever, but everytime i listen to 30 seconds of any track, the door to another world opens for me. Even when i'm sober. This groove and vibe makes me loving it to be alive day and night !

This album was definitely a step in the right direction. Like you mention it all seems to revert back to Kid Cudi's unique sound. Its different from anything else out there and I think Cudi takes great risks venturing where no else can go. The only problem with that is there are hits and misses. Some tracks seem weak, as if they had potential to strike more of a connection or mood in comparison to the overall tone of the album and may not resonate well with some people. On the other there are some great sounds throughout the album that you just cannot find anywhere else. I played some of it at a party and was surprised by how many people actually fucked with it. Lastly, it was a very long album to listen to listen to. It kinda seems necessary to the narrative though, each song falling under a category tying back to the title, passion, pain, and the demon slaying. I definitely enjoyed the passion portion of the album, and the demon slaying, while the pain can speak to different people in different ways depending on what one is going through but overall a very deep and funky album. Fuck With The Funk

This whole album is basically about the production, Cudi ain't completely the man on the moon, but if he keeps this shit up, he can make it to that level

For sure an improvement, I really enjoy this album now as of April 2017, compared to when it came out. I always thought it was good but now its one of my favorite albums to listen to. By Design, Kitchen, The Commander, Baptized in Fire. Those are my top 4 but the rest are still amazing.

It always takes a few listens to get used to the new sounds. Swim in the light, by design, kitchen, the commander, and illusions all gave me the MOTM 1 & 2 vibe so those are my top 5 right now. The rest of the album is amazing tho.

Downloaded this album when it came out, deleted it. 6 months later downloaded it again, 6 months after that it became my favorite album. Took time, but was worth it. There are no favorite track for me, every week it changes.
