Gavin Ward sure....Cudi is garbage it sounds like he forces rhymes and I hate that shit he does when he stretches words or drags them out. He sounds like someone with downs syndrome. He's trying to redefine rap cause he doesn't like rap in the first place. Actually a lot of artists don't like rap. It's hard to be a fan when you're in the game yourself.

agreed man. I dont even really listen to hip hop or anything like it. i mostly listen to hardcore stuff but there has always been something about cudis music that i connected with so hard. the sounds he creates and every little thing about them is so beautiful and it makes me feel very weird when i listen to him. i cant say that about any other artist. his mind really is beautiful.

He is just that dope that he created his own type of music and i have mad respect for him. And his recent talks where he talks about how rappers need to approach music more like an art form was on point again. Cudi = A super-cool over-all multitalented dude with words of gold.
Kid cudi is right, all the madness does make him look good. His music actually helps people instead of making them arrogant. I'm mostly a fan because he isn't cocky. Kanye may have helped you get there, but please cudi do not get cocky like him.

Cudi did become slightly arrogant after he made Man of the moon but that's expected by most successful hip-hop artists BUT he always had a very humble perspective of what his music is and hasn't shoved any type of superiority in anyone's face. I do miss him being in the limelight because that means his music was doing better but I'm also happy if he's happier about where he is in life...because I know he hated too much fame...and he truly is one of the most influential artists period in the last 10 years. Nobody has made music like Kid Cudi and he truly is the coolest cat I've seen in a while...and he was right about that creative spark because rappers like Wale, Kendrick, and Cole are the best artists right now and their hella creative

13 years later and his last point was so correct. he changed the narrative in hip hop. there’s a whole influential side that raps like he does. without him, there is no juice wrld, no X, no travis scott, etc. he brought vulnerability and love into the forefront of hip hop. he changed lives with his music. it always has been about something more than the surface level materialism too many artists fall victim to.

Wow I agree with him now more than ever. In my videos and pictures I dress normal. People love the music, sub, view but the more I look at other artists I realize how they dress is a big part. Dyed hair, hella chains, face tats. The fact that you have to have these things as an artist sucks. We're the only genre like that. Hip Hop is a culture, but he does have a point, that the focal point has drifted away from music toward image. Whereas Rock is ALL about the music NOT about the image. That's his point, that he doesn't want to be judged for anything but his music, or compared /critiqued to other hip hop artists who focus more on image than music.
