The real life captain kid was also known as the unluckiest pirate. Who wasn't even a pirate to start out with. He was supposed to transport slaves across the sea and by time he gets there they obolished slavery and was deemed a pirate and in this gets attacked by a navy vessel which he sinks and accidently steals alot of treasure and is deemed a high bounty pirate

I always thought he deserved more respect for being one of the only Worse Generation members to fight several Yonko after going straight into the New World. Law and Luffy took different routes. Luffy trained for 2 years and Law became a Warlord.

@@davidortiz3094 he’s still underrated because he doesn’t half the popularity Law has nor does he receive what he deserves to have as Luffy’s in generation rival. He should have had coating just the same as Yamato Zoro and Luffy this arc but he was left out in such a crucial moment. We also need to have him become more of a stand alone rival to Luffy. He can’t become a sideline cheerleader like Law

This was really interesting. Kid is one of my favorite characters. At first I didn't really care for him, but when I saw how he reacted to Killer in Wano my heart kidna melted and I took a new look at him. I also seriously LOVE how he and Law interacts. I always got the feeling that they like each other (as friends, as rivals, or whatever people want to see them as) but will never admit it because they are "too cool" to do it.

Electromagneticm and the EM Spectrum has heaps of attributes that powers could be made up from. Invisibility (by bending light) Producing Light itself Levitation + Flight. Would kill to see Kidd perform something related to these aspects movinng forward

Kidd is the example of someone who went through crazy pain/struggle while young and reacts by pushing everyone away to protect him and his folk. Very happy that there are people in the community who actually appreciate kidd because I'm not going to lie as someone who likes kidd (I prefer law but not counting Luffy and Zoro he's my second favorite supernova with law number one) but the disrespect he receives is ridiculous in my opinion and when people disrespect him they go and they wank other characters for the same reasons they disrespect him I'm glad someone's finally giving him his flowers he deserves it's like the Yamucha jokes in dragon ball they are really unnecessary and redundant and people just constantly hate for no reason.

This was a really entertaining video!! I have a different perspective of kid that i havent experienced before. I think it would be a cool idea for a video to maybe go over some of the foreshadowing for Elbaf? I for one am really hoping that its the next location we visit and it would be really cool to explore some ways of getting there, and what would lead our crew to the island.

Damn great video but it's also made me realize that Kidd getting over his PTSD from getting betrayed may lead him to form an alliance with Luffy to go and take down Shanks just to bring the whole thing full circle but the problem is that I don't see Luffy having any need for an alliance to fight another Yonko after this arc so I don't think this will happen but Shanks and Kidd must confront each other again, I at least want to know why Shanks went so far as to take Kidd's arm, he's usually really chilled edit: I just remembered there was a theory about BM going to elbaf this could lead to a true Kidd vs BM fight again where Kidd finally learns to use conqueror's coating and actually beats BM while Luffy will be able to defeat Shanks both reaching their potential with Luffy finally becoming that "great pirate"and Kidd finally bringing down a Yonko win-win

@@wildfire613 Well Luffy can't fight BM and Shanks, Shanks is Luffy's old buddy but that doesn't mean he isn't going to fight him seriously so knowing that how does Luffy muster up the endurance to beat both Shanks and BM in the same arc? Either Luffy becomes the supreme being of the One Piece universe that can 1v2 yonko or he beats up BM in Totland and then goes to elbaf after without BM being involved anymore.

Well, just because Shanks is normally chill, it doesn't mean he can't be ruthless in battle. There's a scene where, before Shanks goes to meet Whitebeard, a fleet of marine ships try to stop him. We don't see the battle, but we see the aftermath: Flaming debris and carnage everywhere. Plus, don't forget that time when Shanks' crewmate shot that bandit in Luffy's backstory. So compared to that, Shanks actually went easy on Kid. An arm is a small price to pay compared to everything else I just mentioned.

The reason why there is no king right now is coz there is a stalemate. If one crew tries to take it the others can easily fight back.. luffy has to be undoubtedly powerful for other crews not to try him.. so yes he will fight shanks crew more like a white beard vs Roger pirates fight. Once’s shanks acknowledges him then he’s good to go

You see his polar opposite’s moments, kid forms alliance with three captains against kaido and luffy forms alliance with law. You can clearly see the parallels.

I think oda fucked up in the writing of him this arc because of the way kaido and bigmoms durability has been portrayed it makes no sense for kid to hurt them as much as the others with blunt damage. If oda had just had kidd learn ryou he would be getting just as much respect as everyone else, plus wouldn’t even do much to undermine luffys hype with the new techniques cause luffy ended up getting advanced Conquers haki anyway

An interesting detail I noticed is the associated colours. Luffy is red, Law is blue, and Kid is purple. The idea that Kid is a rival and eventually stand in Luffys (and by extent of their alliance) Laws way is not only cool but I think extremly probable. It would also be cool for a bittersweet 'fight between rival-friends' to be somewhere on the end road for Luffy. I think most people expected this to be Law- but Law does not have the character motivation (as of today, anyway) to stand in his way like that. Kid however, does. Both because of Shanks and the One Piece.

I think that it would be great if kidd recruits some kaido's men like who's who, the dino siblings that went against nami/ussop, the guy that fought franky with their crews and maybe some of the numbers that would really boost his ability to go up against shanks and if the 5 most prominent members of his crew get some development and power boost

If Kid and Law get more members, then Kid should get Ulti and Page One. Law wouldn't be able to stand Ulti, so Law should get Sasaki and Who's Who instead. Kid should also get Caribou. Caribou is weak, but he's a human pack mule who could store Kid's mountain of metal.

I really wonder what Oda is going to do with Kid as a character. Although i can see Kid going up against Shanks at Elbaf i don't think it would turn out well for Kid. Unless he teams up with Blackbeard which could work but would make Kid pretty Irredeemable from the Straw hats perspective. I find it interesting that both pirates he is based on are both privateers, with captain William Kidd being famous for ending up getting excuted due to a shift in the political climate. Oda could easily use this by making Kid the final pirate of the story since the destruction of the red line will cause a change in the political climate of the one piece world. Fits well with the Rebel theme of Eustass "captain" Kid.

Ive stated before that Kid, for as underwhelming as he has been thus far. Truly does have the Devil Fruit of a God. Magnetic Powers can be used possibly endlessly in so many aspects. Your talking not only like everything Magneto did like pulling Iron and metal from peoples bodies or controlling them, but ElectroMagnetism as well. Kidd could theoretically control the entire planet, and seperately since most of the planet is made of Iron any bit of it individually as well, then he can fully make Electricity and probably Plasma as well.

If Kid used his abilities like Risotto uses Metallica he would be unstoppable. He wouldn't even need to awaken his df for any of Risotto's techniques, and no one would be able to evade his attacks; but I suppose it's already well known that Kid isn't very smart, judging by the nature of his attacks.

@@supahx1421 The iron in peoples' bodies isn't even that magnetic. Hell, the scene where Magneto ripped the iron from the guard's chest was WAY more realistic. And even then, Mystique had to inject the guard with a buttload of iron for it to work in the first place. So Risotto ripping out razors from people actually doesn't make sense in hindsight, especially since most people have just about an average of 4 grams of iron in their bodies. One small razor blade is about one gram. But Risotto was able to rip out hundreds of razors from Doppio? Completely unrealistic.

Also law is the success story of Golden Shiki. Shiki failed to recruit Roger( which occured before Roger became pirate king) , whereas Law was successfull in forming alliance with Luffy (which has occured before luffy became pirate king). I think Oda sensei is trying to share us the stories of Roger, Whitebeard and Shiki through Luffy, Kidd and Law.
