Cube really was exposin and speakin up against da white race das y he never did get loved like how he shoulda nna music industry. He Smart for makin movies.
@@Godloveszaza he folded plain and simple. He didn't have the resources or the balls to really be on the front lines. He played the background and stayed to himself after nwa. I can respect that but I'll never act like he's some revolutionary, not because it's not in line with his own current personal views, but because he stopped fighting.
I feel you. I grew up, off of kid n play, fat boys ll coolbj run d.m.c. ECT. It's amazing how time flies. Man, didn't it seem like we would be young forever. Life is a illusion indeed. ☮️ peace
Every time I see Charles Barkley on TV or Patrick Ewing or any Space Jam cast member, I get that same feeling you get. In my head, Charles is still a Phoenix Sun!
Lol what a shitty mentality. There is so much good media going around. You're just waiting for the radio and the internet to advertise it. Stop being lazy and do some digging.
That Ice Cube shit at the end was funny as hell. But back then, we didn't care. I listened to NWA and Kid N Play - it was all good. It was good music, whether it was some gangsta shit or party rap...me and my boys fucked with all of it. It was all dope ass music.
Back Then Hip-hop didn't have a divided audience. We fucked with. All Hip Hop back then. i Love That Cru Dirty thirty profile you got. That was a Amazing Album.
@@MrHarris73 That's still one of my favorite Albums. it ain't to many if any albums with 30 songs you can just let play all the way threw. i still got the original CD from 97' its scratched all to hell but most songs still play
The homie Kid been living out west so long he’s rockin’ bandanas and Chucks. 🤣🤣🤣 I fucks with Kid, them house party movies are all time classics to this day. Good seeing you alive and well homie. Stay up.
Ice Cube was selling an image. A lot of rappers did that when gangsta rap came out……and then a lot of kids in my high school started faking it too. It was ridiculous
it was their job because the new direction that rap took in 1991 made it their business to sell criminality to fill private prisons as to capitalize the rap industries "dedcision makers/shareholders" $million+ inverstment into the said "private prisons. report me for my comment
That goes for every style of music, too. It is MUCH harder to do a song that gets EVERYBODY hyped (or chilled, motivated, consoled), using CLEAN language and vibe (body language, dress, attitude, etc.)!!! *BIG* respect to Kid 'N Play!
@Gacky Rontanabam he literally just speaking how he learned growing up, all this “talking tough” shit is not real your just judging someone based off an accent, everyone got an accent it’s called regional accents or dialects.
What is wrong with you young morons?? “ old dude “.. so annoying to hear him being referred to as that .. he’s not your age moron... sure.. but he’s not old
I used to see this dude as a kid when he took his mom's to church in Queens NYC. Always same autograph, " be cool, stay in school. " He kept it positive and many rappers did back then.
Always good to hear a brother from the Hip Hop genre articulate the experience in a positive and decent way. No hate towards anybody and genuinely shows an attitude of unity instead of division and hostility. More need to have that kind of attitude. It might go a long way in us Blow Each others Brains Out on a regular basis, Peace ☮️!
If you watch old NWA/DOC videos, you can clearly see TK Kirkland in the background. He's also in a brief scene in the 1995 movie, New Jersey Drive playing cards and talking shit.
Kid an OG!!! I would sit with kid and ice t they got stories!!! Kid an emcee low-key he killed Play in House Party!!! The backstory behind the Detroit concert!!! Kid like Alright Cube...Kid gangsta!!! But smart
You can’t just make up shit bro lmao . Quit comparing people childhoods . Remember this is one story. I wouldn’t call growing up in South central and your sister being murdered an easy childhood by no means
@Johhny Johnstone fuck six 9 and all that he’s a goofy ass bitch but let’s not act like there wasn’t goofy looking rappers like that back in the 80’s and 90’s
Gotta love vlad trying to school a hip hop legend on how hip hop was back then. I would have been like who tf are you trying to school? I guess kid is a nicer person than me. 🤣
I know right!!!!! He literally tries to correct everyone a know-it-all it did that with Bill Duke and his movie credits and had "Deep Cover" and "American Gangster" confused. If you are going to correct someone at least KNOW what your talking about!
Yea, Cube is actually a great sarcastic comedian. A lot of his early unreleased music was funny. But since it wasn’t gangsta it wouldn’t fit his persona.
KID is that uncle you had in the 90s that you used to find corny but now you are just like him and dress just like he did back in the day because you are his age now 🤣🤣
I feel like Kid is one of my favorite interviews now. He has amazing stories to tell and he tells them well. He was there for a lot of things, so he speaks from an authentic place. Plus he has a great sense of humor and you can tell he's a good dude as well! Smart man too. This is the kind of stuff VLAD TV does best.
Ice Cube was exposed when MC Hammer punked him out at Roscoe's back in 1992. Did we ever imagine 30 years ago that we'd find out Ice Cube was really just an actor and MC Hammer was one of the most feared G's out there?
Ted Cruz got up in bernies campaign manager face and said"call me white washed one more time pendejo" bernie looked down and manager dude said sorry with his hand shaking
@@insertu5ernamehere go play with yourself, young fella. I was around when Kid n' Play toured w Salt n' Pepa, Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince while NWA normally toured w the Geto Boys and 2 Live Crew. I have no time to babysit you...LOL
I'm glad to see all the old school hip hop icons again. These guys need to be honored show love to and rewarded. Recently seen Too short its cool seeing them. If they are going through hard times we need to rally around them.
I feel Kid should have blown up way past the 90's and been in more movies or music groups. He is such a funny, interesting, talented, and charming person.
Kid is literally on a different IQ level then everyone else. His responses i thought for just his movies. But this man really does talk like that LOLOL legit af
Not society... just hiphop rap culture ! Only in hiphop you'll see retards wannabe thugs. Makes me wonder if the us government had something to do with the beginning of hiphop music and their image?!
@Mike BMC yeah my bad i dont mean hiphop but the beginning of gangsta rap could have been created by the government. Also around the same time crack was taking over the black communities?! I don't know tho just a conspiracy.
@@MrPHUCKYOURSELF just because they made money 30 years ago, doesn’t mean he has money today. People go broke. (Not saying this guy doesn’t have money).
@@illmattie yeah stupid ppl go broke... Master p had money 30 yrs ago and is still one of the richest rappers or ex rappers in the game as far as i know p diddy and jay z are the only two former rappers or rappers period to be richer than him now... So just cause they were rich or had money 30 yrs ago doesnt mean there out of money now .
I don't know about all that, if you think you was going to run up on them niggas and they wasn't gon do shit you tripping, they was beating niggas asses and they stayed strapped!!Being fake was a no no back then!!
Vlad: You gotta understand that back then, there weren’t many hip hop groups. He’s talking to a man that was literally a hip hop artist in that era. Just...why, Glad? Why?
all these years, and i never realized how heavy his BX accent is. i have always thought he was a South Central dude for some reason. always loved this dudes energy. he knew he was corny, and he embraced it. he was loved for it. because he was true.
It may have seemed like they trying to be a square back then by not wanting them to cuss but look how people are now.... showing no respect to anyone...cussing swearing...🤪
Good to see this brother still alive and kicking. I remember being a shorty trying to do those Kid n Play dance moves. That making your leg a loop and jumping through it is LEGENDARY!!!
Cube is acting like gangsta rap wasn’t 90% gimmick also, which it was. The only dude in NWA who actually lived the lyrics prior to the group forming was Eazy E.
@@michaelnewton1332 I wouldn't call King Of New York a Boys in the Hood. I don't remember drugs in Boys in the Hood, plus pretty much everyone has seen Boys in the Hood. It's more like Carlitos Way which is kinda slept on too, or like Deep Cover, another slept on movie. Oddly enough Lawrence Fishburn is in 3 of those 4. I did like King of New York even though it was Kinda way to unrealistic.
