@Kid Rock ♪ Saint Croix, Indiana. I was born in McMinnville Tennessee, & lived there & in Smithville, Tennessee, until 2010 when I moved to Indiana & I met some of your friends before coming to Indiana. I worked for attorneys for 32 years but no longer work. I Love your music. #Truth #Awesome 🎼🎶🎵🎸
You’re so lucky I would give anything be alive during that time , I was born in 1991 and always I was born in wrong era . Give anything to be alive during wood stock . Peace and love . No social media. No phone . Just vibin and music 🎶
Lynyrd Skynyrd's going on a 50 year anniversary tour I want to see him in West Palm Beach Florida in July last of the Southern rock bands except for maybe Marshall Tucker
True talent 100%!!! Kid Rock can play any instrument and, as well. The neil young statement is so very true now, there are 10's of millions of his type in Our Country now & yes, we don't need them around anyhow!!! I'm 54 & still only listen to good-ole Rock-n-Roll😎!!!!!!
What a mix, truely amazing. Everyone should get to see Lynyrd Skynyrd at least one in their lifetime. They put on a great show where it's really difficult to stay in your seat!
Freaking amazing. Those were the days. I was blessed to grow up in a time of innocence and experience a life of hood ole fun and happier times. People were real and genuine. Thank goodness for the good ole days.
Nothing is gone!!!! Old school. One Time One ❤. Keep on rolling 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤. Legendary Kid rock is a real . ❤. My man he brings out the Legends Lynyrd Skynyrd. What!!!!! Alabama One ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. Now let’s play some Rock and Roll.❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Going to Lake Travis in Austin, TX was such a blast. Going with a group of friends, hanging out by the lake & no worries. That song just captures those moments. I was right back there to those days. Whoever wrote that song is one great songwriter.
Kid Rock gets it. He has crossed generations, music barriers, color and places. This is why he is so loved. I love him my kids love him and so do my grandkids. Keep rocking Kid.

@@bballkid7409 .Yes Frampton headlined.. Frampton was the hottest ticket in 1977..It was such a let down after Skynyard was done. Still an amazing day, I will never forget!
My mom passed away in October and she was 86 years old this was her favorite song she was from Alabama I can't stop listing to it she even had it as her ringtone I even had it put on her headstone Sweet home Alabama Lord I'm coming home to you
What a cool memory and terrific tribute to your mom. Put a smile on my face as I was reading your comment. She would thank you for being such a thoughtful daughter and including one of her favorite songs - I'm sure she had others too. Good job Lisa 💖. My husband passed May 2020 & the family memorial service, two thousand miles away, that I was unable to attend (I did my/our own service where we were together for 33 years).I wrote his eulogy and asked family to play an Ed Sheeran song we both loved, it always made me cry before he passed and became even more meaningful the moment I lost him.....song still makes me cry if I'm in a coffee shop, grocery shopping, etc - and sometimes have to leave if it's just one of thoes days.
RIP Gary Rossington the last founding and original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd. You guys are one of the greatest bands of all time. Fly high FREEBIRD Brother🕊
Gary was indeed a great guitarist and the band was an original no doubt. However, Ricky Medlocke was originally in Skynyrd as drummer before forming the great Blackfoot band. Ricky came back to the band as guitarist and he is a true American rocker - Great singer and guitarist.
@CluelessGamer66 Yes Billy was an original member but my reply was about the last remaining original member - Ricky Medlocke was an original member. He left to do Blackfoot (greatness also) before coming back 20 years or so ago as guitarist instead of drummer. Artiumus Pyle is an original member ( after Ricky) but he has never been back with the group with Johnny as singer. The band has put out new music (some really good music and some just ok) so it wasnt just a tribute band. At this point however, I prefer to have Johnny do his thing with Donnie (van zant brothers) and have Ricky do Solo thing.
I can watch this video over and over....... I’m a north west Florida girl, I love Lynyard Skynyrd and was devastated by the plane crash! The combo of these songs is the definition of my teen years..... at 53 it still makes me want to drink beer and fire up a blunt!
I wish they would bring more of this music back, I am so glad Kid Rock choose to do just that, I love the way Kid Rock sing, A man of many talents when it comes to music, God Bless you and Thank you
Lynard Skynyrd is the all time greatest and kid rock you did good by putting in it was so awesome that was my two most favorite songs out together thank y'all oh and kid I love you you are so genuine and that is the first live show that I've ever seen or heard that did not sound funky that was great you're awesome
By the way it's spelled "LYNYRD SKYNYRD" "Leonard" left the building and was never in one of the world's best bands, they're timeless and the music continues gathering new fans all the time.
Kid is the only artist that could do Skynyrd justice. I will always remember my 11th Birthday as the day my favorite band was forever changed. Oct 20,1977.

I saw Lynyrd Skynard several times, but I would have LOVED BEING HERE WITH KID ROCK! REAL MUSIC 🎶🎵👌Paula Abdul was even in the audience rockin!! Saw Lynyrd Skynard with my BEST FRIEND after the plane crash at the Oakdale Theater in Connecticut the place was packed & jamming!
If I was ever blessed enough to see Lynyrd Skynyrd live, I would bawl my eyes out. I graduated HS in 1976 and have always been a huge fan. I remember when Ronnie was killed.....They are just one of the greats....
I’ve seen this before but this time it brought tears to my eyes 😢 Billy Powell and Gary Rossington are gone, never to return, RIP🙏🏼 Kid Rocks vocals and enthusiasm in this performance are stellar ⭐️💫✨🌟🔥Love love love this ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I was a kid in the late 60's & 70's when my sis turned me on to Lynyrd Skynyrd's music. I loved it and I'm still rocking to it now at 59. Kid Rock is awesome and I love his music too. This vid is a killer combo! Rock on guys! 🤘✌️
Kid Rock is a special breed. He sings all genres of music and he does it very well. He brings different bands together. He judges not. He is an ambassador to the music industry.

Oh man! I love it! I grew up in Alabama listening to Skynyrd. Sweet Home was our anthem, but we thought it was us against the world, but Kid Rock captured it and said to everyone that he got us.
@@chrisbergley6347 Not sure I get your point. Yes, most of the original Skynyrd died in a plane crash in ‘77, but Kid Rock’s song was about him as a kid in Northern Michigan singing Sweet Home Alabama recorded by the original band.
Kid Rock paying homage where homage is due....and All Summer Long is such nostalgia-invoking song...."we didn't have no internet....but man I never will forget the way the moonlight shone across her hair..." I loved those times....
@@danconway5505 Dan I must agree having seen the original many times these guy should have never used the name. Ok Ricky was the original drummer way back before they even had an album out before striking out on his own with Blackfoot, Gary was the least talented guitarist of the three original and while Johnny does a decent job covering his brothers songs that is exactly what they are cover songs. Billy could tickle the ivory like no other and Leon was good too but they should have called the band something else and wrote their own history in the journals of rock and roll, and they did write some great tunes.
With Kid Rocks new tour, in 2022, he's on fire as usual. The new song WE THE PEOPLE is a great song. And as usual The Kid Rock does it just right. Just like every damn song he's ever done. It is always great to see Johnny VanZant, I grew up with Johnny in Jax. FLA. Went to Edward H. White high school. We had history class together. They used to play at Playground South and Big Daddy's Lounge. Fixed his ford van couple times, moved some gear with them . Those guys were hard working and I felt privileged to be there and work beside them. Wow times do fly. Still play all the music Lynyrd Skynyrd all of it, and Kid Rock as well. I still visit Johnny and their family's couple times yearly. He's always gracious.
You mean he steals music . Like Werewolf of LOndon music and Leoanrd Skynard lines from his songs. Thats is not doing an amazing job thats stealing and living off others talents

I wanted to see ZZ Top in the worst way for the longest time. They finally came to town on a double billing with Lynyrd Skynyrd and were blown right off the stage. The musicianship of Lynyrd Skynyrd was something I just wasn’t prepared for. WOW! They were phenomenal!
Wow that must have been AMAZING to see both bands on one bill, must have been a fantastic show! I've seen ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd at two different shows, both bands have everyone up singing and dancing - everyone knew the words - how could you not, most of us had listened to their music for years - we grew up with this vibe everywhere, what a great time. I've got great memories of that time and the freedom we had 'back in the day's. What a time to grow up - when music was music! Thank you so much from your fans!
