When I was a kid I was going threw chemo and Sheryl crow came to the hospital and sang to the other kids. I was to sick to go watch so she came into my room before she left and sang soaken up the sun. Best memory of my childhood
I used to think Kid Rock was just a second rate rapper, then I heard some of his other stuff and realized I LOVE him. He's a very talented song writer/musician.
Kid Rock is all over with his music. He doesn’t stick to one thing. A lot of people sleep on him based on certain songs. Some aren’t that great but he has some pretty amazing songs as well
I hope you listen to more Kid Rock songs. He doesn’t stick to one genre of music, he goes from Rock to Country to Rap to whatever he feels like, sometimes he combines genres, but he’s a pretty smart person. I’d suggest some of his songs but if you just read the comments you already have a bunch of them listed. I hope you react to them Billy, he’s got some great songs.
He DOES make some bangers! He also puts on an amazing show, particularly in his home town of Detroit. I’ve seen him in concert 4 times and he NEVER disappoints.
We the People on his new album Bad Reputation is amazing. It’s funny too! I have seen him in concert once. I was 13. My parents, brother and I are going to see him again in concert tomorrow! I am so excited!! This is my brothers first concert
My grandfather used to drive me to school when this was popular on the radio and eventually he knew all the words and would sing along. I just loved that he got into my music 💜
I’ve always viewed this song as them looking back on a break up. They’re both touring but he’s partying too hard. Them putting the pictures away when they’re trying to get over the other. Not so much cheating except the “different girls every night” part. Then the old pics they find makes them realize how much they love and miss eachother
How old are you that you've gotten this far without ever hearing this song before? This song was HUGE when it came out and I still hear it on the radio at least once a week.
The best thing Rock did was packed up, left Michigan and moved in with Hank Jr in the mountains of Nashville to get clean. His music after was amazing.
OMFG I just caught myself mouthing "And we back, and we back, and we... back"... Lol. I also just noticed the HUGE painting of Hank Sr. when he sings 'Lord I wonder if I'll ever change my ways". Now that's a deep freaking message. I feel your pain, Bobby! Idk why, but the boys from Detroit know how to make the best music! I'm a Tennessee native, born and raised, and I'm saying that lol.
Bro Sheryl crow was my first crush, MTV used to play "all I wanna do" alot in the early 2000s I'd wake up early for middle school hoping mtv would play that music video
Kid Rock is awesome. The things he does in his community, an other charities and for the military, Kid loves his country. Love him. He has a big heart. Go read up on him and listen to some of his music.
When I was stationed in Germany, during the winter, you wouldnt see the sun for weeks because you were in at work (6:30 AM) before the sun came up (around 9 AM) and didn't leave until about 5 PM and the sun set around 4ish.
Kid Rock started out as a Rapper with elements of Hard Rock/Metal, He has since transitioned to country and rock and a little blues, just shows you that if you have talent and understand various styles of music, you can be successful in multiple gendres
Craig Morgan's live from the grand ole Opry version of "The Father, My Son, and The Holy Ghost" will RIP your heart out. It was the first time he ever sang it - he never intended to sing it again, never intended to record it... he sang it for his son, straight from his heart. His son died in a tragic accident shortly before he wrote that song.
I used to love this song. But it means so much more to me now that I know my dad dedicated this song to me before he died. (He was an addict and abusive. We had a complicated relationship.)
I'm one of the 150 million people that love this song, and it isn't because I've been in that situation, but I understand it. It's a good story of loss and heartbreak and trying to cope...and I bet we can all relate to that!
This happened with my then boyfriend now husband of 20 years. We broke up but couldn’t be without each other. We’re best friends now and can’t live without each other. I guess we’re the lucky ones. 🙏
My husband and I will celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary on Feb. 20. We have never cheated on one another either emotionally or physically. I can't imagine living a life where that's okay. I saw the mistakes of my parents and knew the grass isn't greener on the other side.
Kid Rock wrote this song, which finds him discovering a picture of his ex and asking her to come back to him. Rock proudly indulged his desires with the many groupies available to him, but this song shows his sensitive side, as he's feeling unfulfilled. When Sheryl Crow comes in for the duet, she explains why she left: He was cheating on her.
I relate because I have someone I love but he is not ready for commitment and every time I see him or he calls Or I even find a picture of him my heart breaks a little but my life can’t stay on hold when he can’t be with me. This has been over 5 years since our last attempt at relationship and this song describes how I feel and what I have tried to deal with.
I love the vocals on this!!! That's the only reason I've continued to the number of views on it. I love singing her part and I've sung this for karaoke.
if youre gunna do kid rock you should really do 'only god knows why' probably one of his best songs and is sadly forgotten and totally undervalued. . a great self reflective song for him and his mindset back then
