Seeing a doppelganger is actually so freaky, I’ve seen 2 people that looked exactly like my sister before and even ran up to one once while yelling my sister’s name. I had a whole conversation with this stranger before realizing she was confused af 😭

I hate when states have such a low cap on the compensation awarded to falsely convicted people. Even $16M ($1M per year) wouldn't have been enough, let alone $1M total for all 16 years.

For real. He has to start life all over again. 16 years without work and relationships is horrible. No career. No love. Prison takes a big toll on mental health. Hopefully he didn't turn to drink. I would have taken that money and moved to the Philippines or somewhere cheap. I'd spend the rest of my living my best life without worrying about finances.😊
