It’s easy to survive when you treat wild animals like they’re wild.

The video of the cougar charging at about 12:15 happened in Utah and lasted almost 7 minutes! The guy was hiking and came across a mother and her cubs. Momma didn't like the guy that close and stalked him out of the area!

I especially like that she drove him out. If she wanted him ended, he would have been. They are not ravening murderous savages (they CAN be) Unless hunger has a say, they simply want anything that can threaten them/their young to stay TF clear. "You go your way, we'll go ours. But I WILL be a meat-grinder if need be" is the message - certainly in that video

Halfway through and damn this is extremely useful and funny. I mean the odds of any of these attacks happening are next to zero, but me being white, the odds are never zero because our culture is "ZOMG CUTE ANIMAL! I MUST HUG IT!"
@Lumberjack_king

Its because we dominated every animal in our path while other people had to deal with crazy shit like ant eaters

I wouldn't say the odds are next to zero; I live in rural Canada and we have tons of bears and moose in my area. I actually almost stumbled over a calf moose a few days ago on a walk. I immediately turned around and left the way I came because I could hear the mama in the trees close by.

08:25 And before someone asks "Why not a gun?", well, bears are swole. Really swole. Not only you need pretty strong firearm, but you also need to make your shot count, otherwise you just piss it off and there are few things more dangerous in this world than a wounded bear. Since bears have pretty sensitive noses (they can smell you from anywhere up to 20-40 miles depending on species) it's far easier to spray it.

In other words, all a gun does is make it personal, and you don't want to make things personal with a grizzly.

Why do people get wild animals as pets? Because the baby looked cute and they didn't realize how short the cute stage is. And then some (or most) of them get them for bragging rights.

0:44 The answer to that question is, humans are destructive as fk. We almost irradiated whales when we had wooden sail boats and weak harpoons.

6:11 hey it worked with wolves but you have a point some wild animals can't be domesticated and some shouldn't even be considered like chimps

2:28 I can confirm that things become a lot more aggressive and non-negotiable when they think that you're trying to end them. I fully understood the feeling when I grew a solo Pachycephalosaurus on a Path of Titans official server. My dino was still fairly young, and a young raptor was creeping around me and consistently calling out. I panicked when I heard heavy footsteps quickly approaching with what seemed to be calls responding to the young raptor, and assumed that the raptor was leading their friend to me for an easy meal. I remember charging the little raptor and almost killing them before they fled. I quickly ran off in hopes that the little raptor wouldn't be able to track me anymore, and that I was faster than their giant friend. The little raptor ended up talking in the Gobal chat asking me (this was over a year ago, so this may not be accurate) "wth? I'm a juvi, why did you attack me?" Turns out that they were a solo raptor that was friendly calling me, hoping to be friends while we quested in the same area, and the heavy footsteps was just a random player trying to reach their group. Lesson for everyone here: don't lurk around things that don't understand you, and not expect to catch some hands. Lol

This reaction video from Kidd and Cee was very educational by casual geographic, this video and common sense should tells us to stay our lane to avoid encountering these wild animals and like Cee would say "mind your Business" 😁👍🏾

Regarding the "why do people want to own a wild animal as a pet" thing. People that spend their time with wild animals (specifically predators) don't view them as pets. They're moreso part of the pack/pride. They also either rescued the animal at a very young age, or the animal was born in captivity. So they are usually highly trusted by the wild animal, and have a strong bond with them. But anyone with common sense doesn't 100% let their guard down around them. I highly admire it though. And I wish I could form a bond with a 500 lbs feline killing machine. But I just really wanna give a tiger belly scratches.
