It's crazy these shows are addicting I shouldn't be alive and Lost Paradise really open your eyes to how good we have it and what perils you could wind up in just going out on a trip and making a couple wrong decisions hunting, camping,hiking, boating, etc.

Honestly, while the 'captured by rebels in the jungle' is a terrible situation to be in... I still find it somewhat surprising of how he was treated. The rebels didnt have to give him his boots, glasses, and especially the peanut butter and letters.

My family is from Nicaragua. My abuelo told me about how when he was younger he was working and came across some rebels, they invited him to eat but he knew he couldn't refuse, it would be considered disrespectful, they made a fire and told told him stories about what they do. He said they didn't harm him because he's from there but it was the scariest experience of his life and the drunkest he's ever been lol Nicaragua is beautiful and safe. Locals are friendly and the food is amazing! It's cheap to live there too.

When the narrator said “the stakes were very high” I heard “the snakes were very high”

I'm an American that has been living in Costa Rica for about 7 years. It's arguably the safest country in all of Central America and I don't suggest you come down to live here. It's not paradise, it's just the least crappy place to live in central and south America. As for Nicaragua, unless you know people that live there or stay in highly touristy areas don't go and I'm saying when Nicaragua was moderately stable if you go now good luck.

Just the name Nicaragua tells me.... 'Forget it' !

I used to think about those who were survived from near death, dangerous, critical situation are those who were mentally, phisically, spiritually strong person. I said "they are not lucky, they are blessed". So, they left very very interesting stories once they live. Ok let me talk about in my own language 'Mizo Tawng' Mizoram, North East India.
