Kidney Failure, End Stage Kidney, Chronic Interstitial Nephritis in the Cat 

my darling cat died from kidney failure on the 17/1/2020 he was 20 years old ….I loved him like a baby … he was always there for me , he was gentle, smart and friendly ….. I used to hug him and kiss him and now every time I think of him I get teary and it hurts ….. I know will see him again in heaven because my name is written in the book of the lamb (Luke10:20 … revelation 20:15 ) …….and this is the only thing that comforts me now ….. animals have unconditional love just like Jesus

My Goku started to show symptoms of CKD few months before her 17th birthday. She died on july, 17th, this year, at 19 years and 3 months. She was put down and then Ihad her cremated and I keep her urn near my bed. She was lucky enough to be spared by most of the nastiest symptoms of CKD. She had her first seizure and went catatonic. The vet said she would have had other seizures. I knew the worst was coming and the nasty symptoms that spared her until that day were awaiting. She was my first cat and my most treasured. I miss her.

Just lost my girl Mittens 12 hours ago to this disease. She somehow made it to 20. I am going to miss her so much!

My cat is going thru this now..he looks so poorly. He's had 2 drips and has renal food but he's not really eating it. A week ago he was fine. I know he's going..he's 12. I had cancer a few years ago and this boy stayed by my side constantly. Now it's my turn to be next to him. He is such a loving gentle baby my heart is absolutely breaking.

Cats hide disease well so use preventative medicine. Have regular blood work done for early detection.

my cats dying right in front of me, hes 21 his names ceasar ive had him all my life, im 21 also this shit hurts dude… he cant close his eyes, he lost all bodily functions, his paws are cold. im leaving im 7 minutes to go put him down. i love you buddy 😭

My 14 year old 🙀 was put to sleep yesterday. She couldn't walk to her litter tray and finally fell in it. I picked it. Careful put her in carry cage rushed to vets. Said she had kidney and liver failure. This all happened over Xmas. I'm so glad she was put to sleep howling in pain..ill never forget those crys. I just can't believe how fast this all happened. Her name was phoebe rest in peace. She never put her claws out to people. Even on the vets table she purred. This illness is awful. Lost right now

My cat is just 2 years old and half. We just adopted him 6months ago. Very jolly and smart boy. Last 4 days once reaching home after work he did not greet me ,very unussual . I found blood in the floor and hes to sad and cant walk we bring him to vet we found out he have kidney failure.😭😭 totally breaks my heart cause hes the only one giving me happiness and light daily. Hes turning 5 days tomorrow in vet and still hes bleeding even after giving him fluids 💔 and i dont want to give up on him as i saw him fighting and urging to come with me. He have this deseas since he was born genetics as per the veterenary😢
