I have always thought that sitting on the ground here is an unbelievable dumb idea for anyone... and this is why. Parents not attentive once again.🙄

Their Children , Their Responsibilities for their Own children.

I wonder if adults, parents or not, realized horses are not family pets, they would be as nonchalant. A horse has a 500 psi or power in a bite yet a pit bull has half that. Without sounding like I’m picking on a particular breed would these people tell their kids go pet the pit bull, let’s take pictures with the pit bull, or laugh when their kids clothing is taken into the dogs mouth

Good morning!!! First I want to thank you for the videos in which you show the King's Guards with their magnificent horses; We have seen everything, from falls, parades, and others. What I don't like is how badly some tourists behave towards the Guards, especially those who I think are Jews (because of the way they dress). It's good that you show us other places in that beautiful city. I admire each video of how they were rebuilt after the German bombings in WWII. I know they were more than 50 years ago, but there are no traces of destruction. Congratulations

It was great to see my favorite trooper (Jeffery?) back! Congrats on winning the Elizabeth's Cup Award! *~~~* I think that the horse that almost ran over those kids sitting on the ground, may have reacted partly to that clueless tourist dragging his large, noisy suitcase and running in front of him. Both horses were a little on edge today though. *~~~* I think we all know who won't be getting the 'parent of the year' award! 😒🤦‍♀ Just stands there as his kids are about to get run over. *~~~* Once again, John, thanks for speaking up for the trooper! People think they're yucking it up with a buddy, when in reality, they are being super disrespectful to a working soldier. *~~~* 56:13 - One of the absolute best at all he does!

I have not watched complete video yet but will today..I just realized that the guard who stands by the Souvenir kiosk is vulnerable when everyone is watching the changing of the guards..All eyes are forward and no one is watching,protecting the guard on duty behind the crowd ..

Anybody else see the Life Guard in back row at dismount, quickly flip to his left and help the other guard with something, either with the horse or equipment. Good job guard, you're a good man. The last rider, (who must be a newbie) going into the stables, was the guard who needed the brothers help.

Thanks for the stroll along Westminster Bridge today. The iconic sights of London set against a clear blue sky was amazing. My friend’s cousin plays in the brass section of an orchestra - he even managed to get a note perfect recognisable tune out of a watering can at a BBQ last year. He says one of the most difficult brass instruments to master is the valveless trumpet - and that’s with both feet planted firmly on the ground and nothing to interrupt breath control. Can you imagine how much more difficult it must be on a horse with one hand holding the trumpet and the other on the reins when a sudden jolt could make holding or reaching a note practically impossible. I think word must have gone round the stables amongst the horses as to how to get themselves the day off. It seems like more and more horses are quitting than there used to be. If they’re getting spooked by the sheer number of people around so early in the season they may have to consider some sort of crowd limitation before the height of summer. The welfare of the horses must come before the whims of tourists. Brilliant example of parenting - a skittish horse is close to trampling his kids sitting on the ground in its path and he just stands there watching. Is there any update on how Vida is doing? I hope his recovery after his op is still on track.

Thank you , thank you , thank you John for a brilliant video this morning . First the walk over Westminster Bridge in the glorious sunshine , what a view ! Then arriving with perfect timing to see the Trumpeter on a magnificent grey in the tiltyard , especially when you had no idea it was a Long Guard , well done Trumpeter 😀. Then as the Blues rode out the sheen on the coat of the Officers horse WOW 😎. Glad you went to the Parade ground to see the Lifeguards arrive , I know we've seen it many times but I for one could never tire of the spectacle . The hand over of the Regimental Standard then the dismount , love the way the grey trotted into the stables " ok breakfast now "😂😂. Great to see Trooper Jeffrey on duty , did you ever discover why he was on Shackleton not Monty for the final ? I know there was a couple of incidents , but I'm focusing on the best parts and looking as always forward to part 2 😀😀😀

Quite a mixed bag for part 1! The beginning with the sun on Westminster was absolutely spectacular! I was hoping you’d show more of it, was fantastic! I’ve seen all kinds of pictures but this view was incredible, the sun just made all the intricate architecture pop! That was better than any postcard! Things just kept rolling along with the trumpeters and their beautiful greys, kids almost getting stomped, Q10 having a pout, the Elizabeth Cup winner, the new sign, I’m looking forward to part 2!!!😻🐎❤️

Beautiful buildings shame about the people inside it (parliament). Well done John got to see the the trumpeter and the guards coming out for the long guard. beautifully caught. That trumpeter did a wonderful job considering his horse had a right strop on. Lovely arrival of the life guards and another trumpeter playing a lovely tune. So this is trooper Jeffrey, he is very tall! Chain or not they should know not to go in. This is a barracks not a museum this is their work place. Oops! I'm afraid with horses, you have to be prepared to get out of the way quickly! John do you think the new cameras make a noise that the horses thinks is a wasp or fly? I have seen another two horses not happy in the box nobody near them they are just really anxious. The view of the dismount was beautiful, all the horses behaved beautifully. Never seen the trumpeters grey move so fast!

You always point out the great architecture with great enthusiasm.

The gate to the offices also has a security keypad and call bell, for those without the access passes, to be allowed admission to the area beyond the gate and that's very visible if you approach the archway. That visible security on the gateway reinforces the fact that the archway there is NOT meant to be entered by tourists.

Hello John from Australia - When Buska confronted that fellow who tried to open the doors of the horse box he admitted he didn't have a brain. Great to see a long guard with all the trimmings love the ceremonial aspects of the military, being from an Australian military family. As bad as it might sound maybe something really bad needs to happen before something is done about the crowds.

How lucky you were to catch the grey with the trumpter just as he came out, the control he had of the horse and managing to trumpet just shows the dedication these boys and girls give to their jobs. The footage of both sets of Guards looked equally amazing this morning in the sun. Why would you let your child sit in front of a horse? That poor horse was not happy,clearly upset over something bless him,though as usual the Trooper handled him well. Yur prong was out with that german mind😂..fair play he took what you said and apologised and as we all know not many do that !!! Thank you so much for getting so close to the dismount you could see how shiny and bright the uniform was x.
