The soil has been dumped, the seeds planted and students at Cheatham Elementary School in Laveen, AZ are planning meals from their revitalized school garden!They are taking a break from the computer to bond with Mother Nature.The kids chose what they wanted to grow, and we made a few calls to get the kids what they wanted!Arizona Worm Farm donated the compost to fill six 5x5 garden beds, Arcadia Colors Garden donated the plants and seeds, and we got dirty with the staff and students.This video takes you through the process, and gives you insight from the kids and teachers. It’s so invigorating seeing the students, seeing many of them go through first-time experiences, seeing their excitement!GreenDesert.org is hoping to continue building gardens in schools to give these kids real life science.
